A young twenty-something man with smooth, curly hair the color of warm honey lounged contently in his small office in the Neopets headquarters. Now and then he would spin lazily in the cheap roller chair the staff had provided him. He wore an excellent jacket made from a mixture of Italian silk something the vendor had said was Kevlar, though the man found that highly unbelievable. While the jacket was very expensive, it wasn't that expensive, nor was it nearly heavy enough.

Despite his doubts as to the composition, the jacket was extremely comfortable and well made. He was proud to own such a fine piece and he was sure that he could impress any camera crews, angry mobs, or whiny HatPC level designers. Even without his prize possession, he was naturally eloquent and had a talent for public speaking that had served him well in his college days. He had yet to meet a situation he couldn't talk his way out of or a disagreeable colleague he couldn't calm.

The man used an internet handle he invented when he was a kid as his name, Snipereborn, but most people just called him Snipe. Oftentimes, he would jog to the gym to be greeted by a chorus of "Snipe!" and "Bang bang bang!" and "Where's your gillie suit?", which always made him laugh. Then he'd wave them off and strength train with the various weight machines or train for an hour on the elliptical. He didn't consider himself a fitness nut per se, but he certainly loved the confidence and energy that came with the territory.

A few times a week, he and his friends would workout together, hit the showers, and then walk to one of the nearby bars under the pretense of looking for girls. By unspoken consensus, the real reason they went out was to goof off in the most hysterical ways possible, which was made fairly easy when enough wit and alcohol were mixed. Snipe was exceptionally talented at convincing his friends to deliver the worst pick-up lines ever conceived.

It was one such night that he now thought about while he unconsciously twirled about. He smiled contently and zoned out for nearly half an hour before he re-entered the waking world and decided that, no, that paperwork was not going to do itself, no matter how good an argument he gave it. His desk was in its usual state of disarray, so he set out to move things around and get organized. He managed the first, but the second seemed like a lost cause. Shrugging, he picked up the first paper he found, the 7th page of a memo from maintenance, and began the mundane work he thought would be the start of another long, boring day.
