Recently ALL of you have admitted that you're obsessed with the Home Box Office and frequently pirated fantasy show Game of Thrones, which is based on a series of novels by George R. R. Martin, who follows J. R. R. Tolkien's tradition of having two middle initials of R. R. Your praise of the show echoes the praise of every TV critic in the world. They laud Game of Thrones as the best show on television at the moment, which is plain LAZY, and they believe themselves. You also believe them and so does George R. R. Martin, who, despite claiming at first that Game of Thrones would be a trilogy, is now planning to write a hundred more books in the Game of Thrones universe and is outsourcing 99% of his work to the kind ghostwriters at the Stratemeyer Syndicate, the authors of the syndicated prolefeed known as the Hardy Boys which you enjoyed in your childhood. But I do not agree with those critics, George R. R. Martin, and YOU. In this topic I will argue why Game of Thrones is detrimental to our society as a whole and why I believe that the sooner it is cancelled, the better!

First we must address the elephant in the room, the issue of piracy.

How many of you actually HAVE the home box office in your house? According to Wikipedia, 32,445,000 American citizens have the home box office. That's approximately 10% of American citizens. Using basic mathematics we can assume that 1 in 10 active American Interguild members have the home box office. For every member that does have the home box office, there should be 9 that don't. We'll see if my mathematical calculations are correct by making a list of active members of the Interguild.

Spoiler:

That's a list of all the members who came on after Cedric, which is sufficient enough by my standards. Now we need to remove all the members who do not live in the United States. I also removed Vily because not only do I not know where he lives, he is also not active enough by my standards, and ilikepop because she and Yimmy are in the same household.

Spoiler:

Finally we need to mark the members who are known viewers of Game of Thrones. This was accomplished by going to the "Shows", "Game of Thrones spoilers", and "What is the difference?" topics, as well as reading the chatbox archive. The following list will not be in spoilers as it is important. Known Game of Thrones viewers are marked with a star as well as bolded.

*Yaya
soccerboy13542
Yimmy7
01110000011011110110
Bmwsu
Livio
krotomo
*atvelonis
Quirvy
Kooler
mymop
Xyteran
imtimi

Count the number of members in the list. 13... then count the number of Game of Thrones viewers. 2. That's 2 out of 13, when, according to mathematics, there should be 2 out of 20! That's 1 in 6.5; for every Game of Thrones viewer, there are 5.5 non-viewers, which means the only thing that it can mean: We have pirates among us!

Now we will move to the issue of scientific illiteracy, which is a large problem among the citizens of America today.

The climate in the Game of Thrones universe is heading towards an eternal winter, which moves us away from the single most important issue of the world in the present: global warming. Our indulgence in the fantasy world causes us to become detached from the issues of reality, which are far worse than anything presented in fantasy, because they are real. We begin to think that climate change is only possible in fantasy, and that a global warming of the earth would be nothing but a blessing, because we see so much of the miseries that the Game of Thrones characters have to endure due to their eternal winter. If you want to learn more about the dangers and effects of global warming, watch episode 12 of Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, which is hosted by Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Indeed, Cosmos was on a conflicting schedule with Game of Thrones, which explains why you didn't watch it. But if you had chosen to watch Cosmos instead of Game of Thrones, you would've had the honor of watching Neil deGrasse Tyson explain how, due to the mechanics of planetary alignment systems, the climate of Game of Thrones is completely unrealistic. Actually, he never explains that because Game of Thrones is too irrelevant to be mentioned on a show about science, but you would never know for sure if he did because you'll never watch Cosmos anyway, probably BECAUSE I said you should. It's kind of like Schrodinger's cat.

It is true that Cosmos was criticized for being scientifically inaccurate. However, I can assure you that it is still more scientifically accurate than Game of Thrones. Cosmos may be 95% scientifically accurate, but Game of Thrones is only 5% scientifically accurate. (Props to the casting team that Joffrey and his mom both have blond hair.) In other words, Cosmos is 5% scientifically inaccurate, while Game of Thrones is 95% scientifically inaccurate! Once again, I can use basic mathematics to prove my point.

My point still stands. The eternal winter shown in Game of Thrones distracts us from the issue at hand, which is the issue of global warming.

See, every so many years, the earth goes through, kind of, weather cycles. See, if you lived in IN, you would see that we are having the coldest year. Sure, other places are hotter than normal, bit that is definitely not global
