* Removed Herobrine from tutorial level 2. Wait, what game am I developing?
* Added lives
* Added restart/quit buttons
* Fixed grabbing ladders
* Fixed objects landing on other falling objects

There's one small change that adds nothing but I really want in this game

I'm guessing it's unlikely anyone has made one with this restriction of crates (well there won't be many levels anyway and the game might be different enough mechanics wise to be an issue), but why not make one! I'm excited to try out these steel arrows!

I don't know why, but my game is going really slowly, as in, I think you messed up the tickspeed

I certainly could. I left that out rn since it looks derpy, but then again I left in running in place when you're walking into a wall since every game ever has that and it provides feedback on your button presses. So I might add it.

Well, you could certainly play my test level (username=droidfreak36), but it's hardly a real level. Right now it's just testing to see if you can clip your head into a block by jumping onto a platform (Currently, you can). I change it to test whatever mechanics I need to.
But feel free to make your own test levels to try out the mechanics yourself or make your own puzzle levels to challenge everyone else. Steel arrow crates can make for some puzzles that you couldn't do otherwise.
Of course, none of the cavemakers have steel arrow crates yet, but I honestly prefer to create caves in a text editor anyways. Or you could code them as tutorial arrows/regular arrow crates and replace them in a text editor.

The tickspeed should be fine, it's probably having performance issues. What sort of graphics card do you have? It may be a rendering performance issue that I didn't notice because I have a decent graphics card (although hardly top of the line). If so, I think I can improve it.

Yes, they do now. CSD tells me they didn't in the original, but enemies do so it seems logical. And it allows fun secrets like that one.

In the original HATPC you can't break more than one crate at once. I noticed this error in tutorial 1 when I hopped onto the wood crates at the start.

Darvince, that depends on the direction you break them in. From below, you actually can break 2 crates at once. I'm not sure about from above, but I think you're right. I'll look into that.
And FlashMarsh, CSD told me on Discord that user levels use secret area to stop arrows but let Hannah through. If a block type that does that is needed, I think I'd opt to make it a new block type rather than make secret area do that. That way map-makers have more options. Although actually there already is a block type that will do that (once) in the horizontal direction - platforms. Hannah can walk right through them, arrows hit and destroy them.
As for the fear that a sneaky map-maker will make you dodge secret arrows in a secret area... well, that's up the map-maker now, isn't it?

I'm going to implement some glitches, but I'm trying to remove some of the more ridiculous ones and adding less-glitchy ways to achieve the same effect.
For instance, duck-jumping (if that's considered a glitch) is fully reproduced in my version, but you can't clip into blocks (except for the special case where you can clip into the edge of blocks from below).

One thing I would suggest you should remove are lives, with the exception for the campaign.

In the HATIC level Arrowhead you have to duckjump to get through the level, so I'd say that duckjumping is not considered a glitch since a campaign level used it.
I thought about fake crates a bit the other day and I decided that they should remain only if there is a way to tell that they are fake, like becoming translucent or having a white shade over them or some other graphical indicator.

Well, a lot of user levels are going to be messed up in any case. But if I add vine blocks, you could use those as a direct replacement for old arrow-blocking secret area in most cases.

Well I'll say that I appreciate this update, you're making pretty good progress.
I do think the change in the secret area's functionality is a bit questionable. If I was going to change the way they worked, I would have actually gone the opposite way and made it so that enemies can't go through them. They served a very unique functional purpose as an indestructible (mostly) safe space for the player, and I'm not sure there's really anything that can replace that functionality that makes sense.
The other things I noticed from this is that you got rid of Hannah's last life (IDK if that was intentional or not, but in normal HatPC you get 4 lives total, where on the last life all of the hearts are faded), and that the way Hannah interacts with crates still feels weird and is incorrect in some cases (like when you hit crates from the side while in the air).

Not intentional. I didn't even notice the original game did that, actually. I think on user levels it doesn't? Anyways, fixed.

Weird in what way? Like, what's wrong about it?
I don't really see a problem. I mean, you can't get in that gap in the original game, but that's not really a problem, it's just an extension of duck-jumping. The only reason you couldn't in the original game was the lower tick speed.
