I was actually thinking about the potential of using password to actually do "Guess the password"

My only gripes here are:
1. This should have been kept in the "Guess the password" topic
2. people should be guessing by trying to log onto password (since there's nothing set that locks you out of the IG or something similar, right?), as opposed to posting a guessed password, and waiting to hear back from cedric.

Also, there's the potential that someone could win, change it to something completely random, and then lie in the hints about what it is.

I kinda liked how you had to guess and the round holder would say if it's correct or not. That way, no one can find the answer without saying it in the topic, change the password, then another person posts the original password correctly and can't log into the account.

Your last paragraph is kinda the same as other round-related forum games we have like One Post. There's the potential possibility that the round holder posts a completely normal round and judges the entries completely different. For example, the round title says "you have one post to elect a new US president" and judges the entries as if the round title were actually "you have one post to kill the current US president". Although this is an extreme example, it's pretty similar to what you said.

Just wanted to say, that if someone were to change the password again in hopes of participating in this game, obviously they would indicate that they discovered and changed the password, to start the next round.

And while that's true, people doing a bad job at judging won't end the one post topic. If someone does a bad job of judging, then we yell at them and start the next round. If someone changes the password to something random with the intent of making us waste all of our time, we waste all of our time, and never get to figure out what the password is because the round never ends.

If what you said about random password-changing is true, can't staff change the password and start their own round? If even THEY change the password to something random (which is highly unlikely, judging by their current rank) then another staff member could change the password etc.

And how would they know whether or not the password is actually just something random that no one will get? Furthermore, I don't think that any of the staff really enough about this forum game that they would take such action; It's in essence just another "guess the _____" game, just that it has less to do with luck than most of the old ones, because you're giving hints. And guessing the password probably isn't as easy as you might expect, even with these hints.

Well, it depends on how obvious the hints are. I tried to make my hints easy, but it only seems easy for me because I know what the password is.

Lock, or maybe just be kind and ignore. I choose ignore.
