Do you think that the alphabet should be rearranged? What do you think about c, ph, x, g as j, and unnecessary double letters?

Without c, ph, x, and double letters:

If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and I together

then j.
then k.
then r.
then o.
then f.
then l.

If I could rearrange the alphabet, I'd put U and Me together. There would also be a letter Me.

I would reorganize the alphabet so that they are in order of most straight lines per capital letter, and the curviest letters go at the end, leaving us with this alphabet:

EMWHFKNAYZTLXVIJRPUDBGCSOQ

Why you ask? Just because.

I would add Å, Ä and Ö to the end of it. Possibly Ü.

quot4 truth!!!!

English spelling and grammar must be stupid and annoying for foreigners to learn. How did you not know this? We must have illogical spelling rules! It only makes sense!

English is possibly the hardest language to FULLY understand. Yes, you can probably learn all the words and pronunciation easily, but you can change the meaning of words very easily just by where you put the emphasis is the sentence.

What do you think?
What do you think?
What do you think?
What do you think?

Even just saying the word "what" could have many different takes.

English grammar sucks.

I before E, except after C.
Unless the sound rhymes with may, such as neigh, weigh, or feint.
Or unless it's an exception such as science, either, neither, caffeine, protein, foreign, leisure, height, their, weird, seizure, feisty, counterfeit, sovereign, heir, forfeit, heist, etc.

Great job English!

You just talked about intonation. Every language has that "problem".

Actually, there are almost 12 times more words with ei and cie than there are with ie and cei.

There's no need for that when "N" and "O" are already together.

True, but no language has a pronunciation nearly as illogical as English. In you French you may not pronounce half the letters, but at least it is consistent in what letters you shouldn't pronounce. There is no consistency in English what so ever.

On that note, French is fun - there's an uncommon Swedish surname, Höst. How do you pronounce that? H is silent, ö doesn't exist, and st at the end is silent. Then you're supposed to stress the last syllable, so you get division by zero.

uh...so how DO you pronounce that stuff?

English is a very badly constructed language imo. my friend once had a linguistic project he tried to do - creating a new grammar for hebrew. and that stuff works in all languages. very simple rules: be to the point. it was nice.
anyway - C is useless. K and S work for it. it can be there to replace CH. Q is useless too. english also has very many problems in pronouncing very many things. for example, ×¢ in hebrew(google it maybe lol), ×— too, many things in arabic and french as well. it's a bad language.

That's more of a problem with the Latin alphabet rather than the English language, Shos.

(also, words like trukk, dukk, pekk look way uglier than truck, duck, peck)

Nope. English is like that because it has origins from so many different languages, from Latin to French.

If English is so inefficient and stupid of a language, then why are we still using it in here?

Because the most powerful countries in the world have used it for a very long time, obviously?

First Britain, then America.
