ShareThisOn Thursday, significant progress was made on the new version of the level database. In case you don't know, the level database pages are getting a revamp along with with the new layout that's under construction. I haven't been able to work on it in a while because of school work and the need to look for scholarships.
Also on Thursday, soccerboy13542 gave himself a super freaky avatar that was so intentionally disturbing (at least it wasn't inappropriate) that the staff took administrative action and replaced it with the I-am-not-worthy-of-this-avatar avatar, which is the same avatar that we gave Thomas a few weeks ago as a joke.
Friday was the opening ceremony of the Vancouver Olympic Games, and it was much more amazing than I was expecting. Supposedly Jazz was performing there as part of a choir, but I never saw a choir.... But then again, I wasn't really looking for one, because I completely forgot about it until now.
Also on Friday, CSD released his DBK Marathon video. The video features walkthroughs for Scenic Streams, My Friend Boulder, and Awesome Cave 3000. Part two of the DBK Marathon is in a separate video showing the walkthrough for Haunted Cliffs. Even though CSD used music from the Beatles, some people, like Isa, did not find the sound very enjoyable...
On Sunday, guyguyextreme started a new forum topic to raise awareness for the awesomeness that is the game Knytt Stories. It's also worth noting that this is probably the most karma guyguy has ever raised at one time, especially since he's probably best known for gaining a lot of negative karma.
As you may or may not know, we gave out awards to the best levels of the year for 2009 and 2007 (held on the old forums), but not for 2008. What happened in 2008 was the transition from the old forums into this site. So today, Isa got the idea that we should go back and hold an awards thing for the best levels of 2008. He started a new topic to discuss this idea.
As of now, the Walkthrough-based level Comp only has one week left, and so far there are no entries....
And as Quirvy announced a few minutes ago, the staff is planning on making more frequent and more varied news posts.

I'm proud to say that I was part of that history-making event. But like the other members of the Super Secret Circle of Witnesses of Secret History Making Events Within the Interguild, I will stay to the oath I never made and not say anything stupid, like revealing that something like the Super Secret Circle of Witnesses of Secret History Making Events Within the Interguild actually exists, which doesn't happen often.
