Whoa, it's already May, which means I graduate from High School in about 3-4 weeks. And it's because of that why I wasn't here at all this week. I've been studying a lot for all the AP exams I have to take in the next 2 weeks. But apparently I hear that almost nothing happened this week.

Apparently pinataapple first joined us about a month ago, on April 4th. However, in the past week, pinataapple has been posting a lot of spam all over the forums and the chatbox. However, this wasn't your average spam! It was filled with subtle references to past Interguild events and running jokes. But who was this mysterious member? The Staff tried to find out by checking his/her IP, but it did not match with any other members. There was a two-page conversation in the staff forum trying to figure it all out.

By around Thursday, pinataapple was going around in the chatbox with the name "seakittens" and if you looked at her posts, she had a weird seakitten-related avatar and sig from PETA (animal rights group?). Meanwhile the Staff was investigating into pinataapple's true identity. We knew that her IP was from around the Vancouver area. CSD was the first to theorize that it could be neezles, HB's sister, judging from the content of posts. Isa then suggested that it could be Anglefish, Jazz's friend, and CSD acknowledged that this "sounds more likely than just neezles coming out of nowhere". Quirvy's first guess was that it could be cedric. However, when you start taking IP's into account, it's hard to believe any of these, but we consider the possibility that maybe one of them has moved.

Quirvy then began to go into a deeper analysis of pinataapple's behavior:

Saturday, 12:41am - Seakitten-Luver i live in appleland. its a grate place, i tell ya. my bff is shelly whos a gurl but were close. she used 2 be called belle but changed her name 4 seakittens.
Saturday, 12:39am - Seakitten-Luver im 10 yrs old. dont treat meh badly bcuz of mah age. im rlly intelijint!
Saturday, 12:38am - Seakitten-Luver if u want 2 no already. well my name is sebastian.  i used to be eddie but i changed mah name 2 fit in with the seakitten stuffz.

Possible pineapple reference in actual username(pinataapple)
Possible reference to a rant of kitti's, where she claimed that we underestimated her intelligence because of her age
Possible reference to Hannah Banana fixating on a single subject
Possible reference to ekehasa(who claimed that his name was sebastian)
Possible reference to Kitti's imagination(appleland is not the location of the IP address, seakittens)
Also intentionally mispelling things, which was something that I probably did a few times in side accounts(Maybe we can call it a doggi reference?)

At least 5 subliminal refernces(possibly unintentional) to stereotypically bad users? What is going on with this guy?!?
CSD began having suspicions that it could be Jazz, based on the frequency of posts. He also considered the possibility that Quirvy was fooling us all again. However, Quirvy pointed this out:
'Quirvy' said:
But in 3 minutes, pinataapple was able to respond to a post of jazz', from a different IP!

. . .

Oh, and also,

Sat. 12:44am - Seakitten-Luver MAYPRIL FOOLS

It wasn't may yet where he supposedly lives. And wasn't May the name of one of Kitti's side accounts? I would like to propose that we form a crazy and aimless conspiracy theory.

...But...
My money is on him being a friend of jazz, and that he just sucks at humor.
2nd place goes to cedric moved near vancouver, decided to rejoin the interguild as a new user, now that he has a new IP.
Meanwhile, CSD's suspicion against Quirvy rises, but Isa responds by saying that this stuff is beyond Quirvy's imagination.

By today, pinataapple's tactics have changed. She created a new account called bottlewatermelon, and all of her chatbox posts were posted under different chatbox names. And they were conversing with each other, of all things.

Just a while ago, in the chatbox Quirvy said: "Maybe neezles moved and decided to pay us a visit?" and when pinataapple saw this, she said that we figured it out, that she really was Neezles! However, we weren't quick to believe that; we held onto our uncertainty. So to confirm that this really was Neezles, Quirvy asked him a question only neezles could answer:

What record did you try to beat that Livio held?

In other news........

jellsprout has been posting a lot of good ideas in the staff forum about improving the games system of this site. I just wish I had enough time to implement those ideas. I think we posted about those ideas in other places, but they mainly consist of making the game-addition process much less rigid to the point that games won't have to be "added" so that you can upload levels for them. We were also discussing how the forum boards should be organized.

Jell already took action on some of his plans when he created some new boards for Commercial Games.

And on Monday, we started a Lack of Effort Competition. The reasoning was that after almost 5 weeks of the Collaborative Levels competition, Quirvy thought the Interguild needed a comp that requires much less effort.

There's also been some progress on Aeon. I've begun a serious reorganization of the code (I am now ashamed of the horrible (actually, lack of) organization that it used to be in.

Also, remember when we realized that we had a bunch of members from Singapore? It turns out we also have a strong cluster from Vancouver. Mix that with all the people from New Zealand (Harumbai's from NZ too! ), and it's suddenly very plausible to think that these three strategic locations are somehow involved in some kind of global conspiracy that involves the Interguild.

Water Over Troubled Bridge by Isa
This is such an amazingly cool level, that I was shocked to learn that I haven't played it yet, and I was even more shocked to see that it was posted all the way in January. More of you guys should play this.

Yeah. Imperio is featured content. Deal with it.

HatPC Hyperspeed by jellsprout
This video was part of some challenge or something where the goal was to film yourself beating the entire game of HATPC and jam it all into one video but with super speed. CSD and I also made videos in response to the challenge.

Lair of the cobra by magnapple (uploader-fixed by Ckjr)
This cave is a lot of fun, and almost faded into oblivion. Be thankful that it still exists and try it out.

A very nice level made a little more than a month ago.

Cities just below Vancouver count as Vancouver

Meaning - Jazz, Angelfish, HB, Neezles and Soccerboy lives in the Vancouver area
Also Flame, Harumbai and Silver lives in NZ.

Actually, there's another user, I believe, that's from singapore. in a PM, deglitcher mentioned that he had a brother or something like that, and that his account was Thailandian. I'd quote him, but unfortunately that PM was pruned when jell invaded my inbox with non-warning PM's.

And when I pointed it out, I was referring to the area around Vancouver. I wasn't counting Soccerboy and jorster, though, because I recall that they live in the US. But I do recall that there were maybe 2-4 other members who never got active that were from that area.

We just don't know about them.

But as for theneopetsteam, that user just joined today, so I wouldn't be going out on a limb if I were to say that it's possible that you created that account just to make that post. Of course, it's also possible that neezles made that account, seeing as she has already posted from a_neezles_a, pinataapple, and bottlemelon(a now deleted account). But I would have to guess that you are its creator, seeing as how you noticed it on the day of its creation, without that user ever being online.

Though IP checks could come in handy... if the TNT guy posted.

Wasn't Lester also from Singapore?
