What has neezle's been up to? Well, last week we IP-banned her, but then we un-IP banned her so that aych bee wouldn't also be banned (HB, you better make some Aeon artwork soon after all this). The a_neezles_a account was still permanently banned, however, and we hoped the new email confirmation requirement of the register page would stop her from creating new accounts. Unfortunately on Monday, she created a new account called Samuel, trying to pose as a friend of neezles. She probably didn't seriously believe it would work, but it did lead to a series of hilarious chatbox conversations. By the end of the week, neezles had created several other accounts, as the old ones kept getting banned. The usernames included: robby garrett, Marigold, Rosa77, Grandma Loretta, and Email Confirmation. All of these accounts are now deleted, and we think we've stopped her account-creating abilities for now... Speaking of new accounts, last Saturday shos' friend tryrestart joined, and last Sunday we got another new member: haag63. He's from Dekudude's website ApolloMix.com. It's a music site, and recently I've gone and asked the members there if they were interested in writing music for Aeon, and that's why haag is here. There has been a great amount of progress on Aeon this week. In the realm of music, although haag still hasn't contributed anything concrete (or even post outside of the chatbox), Dekudude has remixed all of the songs he made, and they sound great. Meanwhile, I've been busy programming the level editor. It works really well, except that whenever you use the keyboard it mysteriously slow down by a lot. I'm not sure when I'll get another demo out, though. Maybe with all the IO stuff, I should just wait to release some kind of super demo in August that will contain all my summer's work. Goldfun4 has just changed his name to GF4. He has also been making tons and tons of levels, and they are mostly really good levels. It's hard to keep up with them all. I mean how many of us have actually played through his entire Future Levels series? (which he clearly got the idea from krotomo's series...) This makes me feel like adding some kind of "queue" feature where we can easily keep track of all levels we want to play. Otherwise, I'm sure I'll forget about some of these. Results for the Super Mario Flash Comp were released last Tuesday. It was interesting because no one wanted to judge (except for imtimi, who's been dying to judge since the start of the comp), so I ended up judging. Then there was a tie (two of them actually), so we need isa to come in and break the ties. Also the reason why a new comp hasn't begun yet and why one won't be starting soon is because the Interguild Olympics are set to start on Thursday, July 1st. We just released the teams a few hours ago. However, the staff hasn't made any progress at all on deciding which categories will be in the IO, and we have less than a week left. We don't even know if we're gonna release them gradually like last year, or all at once. Anyway, there were plenty of amazing levels made this week that you should try out. Check the homepage's featured content for my recommendations, even though about half of them are GF's levels. User Comments (11)
