Okay, so Minecraft has been officially added to our game system. I want to start filling up our level database with info about the various projects that are on the server. For example, we could have one "level" for the Beacon, another for D52 tower, and so on. This will give us dedicated topics for each project so that we can praise or critique them with ease, and it also gives collaborators a place to talk about the project (when they aren't all online in Minecraft at the same time).
The "level code" should consist of the x-y-z coordinates for the location of that project on the Interguild server. You can get the coordinates by pressing F3. You are also welcome to give a qualitative description of the location. For example, you could say that D52 tower is in Spawn City, since everyone knows where that is.
The description for the level will hopefully contain screenshots (or even a video!) of the project (how to make a screenshot or video).
Note that this is where the limits of the current level database start to show up. I know that there are a couple of projects on the server with input from quite a lot of people, but the Add-Level page only gives slots for up 3 authors. You could try to add more authors by fitting more than one person into the same box, but note that each field has a limit of 20 characters. Anymore and you'll get cut off. Does it have to be just creations, because I would quite like to do a adventure map too.

"adventure map"? A map of the whole server would be great. You could just make an image showing how all the minecraft maps link up to each other, but I would prefer something with more detail and a lower zoom level. Maybe if you could use that flying hack, just take screenshots from the sky and edit them together? Editing them together might be tough with the perspective of that view. | | canadianstickdeath |

It's a world where you make it, and then somebody else has to traverse it to achieve some goal. | | neofriendly |

I know that it's possible to get Google Maps to display a minecraft world. A good example is at http://www.minecraftwb.com/index.php/server-map. I have no idea how it was done, but I don't think it will be too hard, considering our map is a lot smaller then that one. | | Jorster |

If you post minecraft videos here, do they have to be on the interguild server? | | canadianstickdeath |
