The cave looks awesome in the walkthrough, but I still think it's too difficult, although officially you should get Dando or Isa to make that proclamation since I'm bad at playing hatpc. But even looking at the walkthrough portions of that cave look really hard and extremely fast paced.

Also the top of the screen is cut out at the beginning. If you're taping it in parts, it's fine to cut off the top of the screen to obscure the changes in lives and score and treasure between takes, but it shouldn't be cut off at the level preview screen.

How do you make it so the bar is only cut off during the actual level?

Also, do you notice where the second take starts?

No, and by recording it separately where it is fit to the window.

This level doesn't appear as difficult as Quirvy makes it out to be. It is still pretty hard, but it appears to be possible to complete without checkpoints.
And I don't really hold the Dando Criterion to much value. I much prefer the Shos Criterion. If either Shos or Teo praises your level, it is probably too difficult.

On the other hand if Dando praises it, it is probably a perfectly balanced level.

I don't approve of the music and you could do with a bit higher FPS, otherwise, nothing special.
Regarding the cave: A lot of traps are evilly designed, you don't know what a trap does before it's too late in a majority of the cases. So, I'd tell you to tone this level down.

How do you change the FPS?

Check the Other Options menu, or the AVI File section if it's not there. I don't have HyperCam installed so I don't know for sure, but look there.

It would also help if you explained what values to use. There are many different options and most aren't always obvious. Putting your framerate too high can also cause your computer to lag and makes the filesize much larger without any noticeable difference.
I think HatPC usually runs at 30 FPS, so you want to put your FPS value above that. It is best to simply make a very simple level (remember to include dynamites, their explosions tend to cause some lag which could mess your settings up) and then just make a few short videos at different settings to test out which work the best for you.

Really cool cave. Seriously. And besides the 1st screen being cut off, and the fps junk previously mentioned (also, I watched this video with my computer muted, thankfully), it was a good walkthrough. After reading Isa's post though, it might be one of those cave where it's cool to watch, not to play. But I honestly do not know due to my main problem; not remembering this level being released period.

Seriously, I'm scratching my head at why I don't remember this level. When you 1st mentioned it in the chatbox yesterday, I searched it and it said I had read it. So my guess is either that I was really tired when you posted it, I mentally vowed to play it later and it was pushed off the recent comments box, or I thought of your recent string of less than desirable levels and ignored it. But I usually start to remember levels once I see the page their on, but nope, this level looked completely new to me, lol. Beside that malarkey, good job (may rate level later).

COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.
Give me +karma. Give me +karma.
