Oh, btw Isa, I think it's really petty of you to say "You're theory was bad... even though it was right". Maybe it didn't have the strongest evidence, but that's mafia.
I don't think there was anything wrong with the game, but when the only really active townies on D2 were a newb and Thomas, it's hardly suprising that it turned out this way. Jellsprout commented on occasion, but not that much. I think it'd be a lot of fun if more people talked regularly. It seems like every argument in the game was between the same three or four people. I'll see about playing on mafiscum and see how different it is. I'd like to play as mafia once just to see what it's like.

Hey Snipe, as far as I can tell, those narratives at the start had nothing to do with your role, right? Did you just right em for the heck of it?

Sorry bud. I still think it was unlikely that there would be another killing role than scum with the information we had.

The first one was tangentially related to my role. I didn't want to explicitly give my role away, so I threw in a bunch of random stuff as noise.

'Dando' said: I understand Thomas's frustration with the inactive players, since they do make things a lot harder on the Town, but unfortunately that seems to be an inherent problem with Interguild mafia games: there is a very limited selection of members, and it doesn't leave room for many replacements. At the same time, I don't think it's reasonable to expect Interguild games to be similar to the ones on mafiascum. Half the players are under 14 years old. It works best here when it's treated like a fun, casual diversion, like in the first game. That's why your hyper-aggressiveness doesn't vibe well with everyone else. It seems like everybody on MS is 20 - 25 years old then there's some people who are older and then there's also 13 year olds and stuff. Some 13 year olds there are actually not bad but there's also some terrible people (Miss Beauty?) who do the multiple account thing and say things like "Why was my other account banned?" or "I should have changed my IP," even with others swearing at her. But yeah, better playing experience on MS. Yuggy is the best player here who is young. He was bad in this game, but he was scum. If these games are "just for fun" then people are probably gonna think it's okay to lurk.
'Dando' said: If Thomas protected her, she would have seen "Thomas protected you," which is pretty handy.
You know, I did consider protecting Silver on N2 to confirm but then I thought she may do something stupid and out me as doc.
'Isa' said: Thomas, flaming is what causes everyone else to be less likely to play. You're making it less fun to play when you mindlessly bash others. This is coming from the Mafia and you didn't target anyone on our team with it, but it still impacts my willingness to play with you. I probably did give Silver a chance to start posting more. It's not like I started the game being really hostile. I got more and more hostile as she continued to BS her way through the game. Don't get me wrong, I know it's not gonna end well when it gets to flaming but it was my only choice when Silver was being really stubborn and saying things like "You're not going to get me to post here."
'Isa' said: As scum I had to convince half the town that a townrole made itself confirmed town and that it was poor play to try to lynch her. It obviously wasn't planned by Thomas and Silver either, just because it would have been such a poor idea. I didn't mention anything initially but then votes shifted BACK to Silver... I'd still policy lynch her because that was the worst play I have ever seen by somebody in a mafia game except for that guy on MS who quoted his role PM for a large theme game a few weeks ago.
'Isa' said: he said THAT'S A GREAT CLAIM and unvoted. When you ask someone to claim, it's because you want that person to die, and you should save power roles. Now, unvoting Silver was indeed the correct thing to do in that situation, but Thomas just said "I believe the claim" and left it at that, which made it very easy for me to pounce on him. If he had said "That's a believable claim because you cannot successfully fake it", which is probably what he meant, I would still vote him but not with as much energy (also yes, I'd vote you if I was town as well - everyone I voted for, I'd vote for if I was town, because they did suspicious things, all of them. Only exception might be Silver.). Now I got momentum against him, and the best thing was that it was just a few days before deadline. I don't think I did say that I believed the claim right off the bat. And still, it's not scummy?
'Isa' said: Here's something that annoyed me. Thomas asked for a deadline extension and actually got it. This made me very frustrated. My push was very well timed - there was very little time to create a new wagon - but because of the extension, the wagon died and my efforts were for nil. There was no real reason to grant the extension to town if you wanted to be a neutral moderator - the extension heavily favored town. The deadlines were very short and I did mean to ask for an extension earlier in the day but I got distracted because I had to attack lurkers. I doubt you would have timed that though because your attack happened immediately after Silver's claim and unless you can see into the future, you would not have know Silver was gonna claim and stuff.
'Isa' said: He was obviously town for us as scum, but for some reason Thomas didn't protect his MVP. Thanks, Thomas! We owe you one. I did plan on protecting Harumbai on N2 but then I felt he could have been trying to buddy me so I protected jellspout. I did also state when I sent in my night action that I may change it later ( maybe Harumbai) but because of school, I never had time to analyze the situation. At least I did not rush it and protect scum. That is the last thing I would want to happen.
'Quirvy' said: This one stood out to me more than any other post I read by you. Because Harumbai isn't as high in your personal ranks of member respect as Isa is, you're going to disregard what he said and instead listen to Isa? What? My immediate thoughts were, "well what if Isa is mafia?" Regarding someone else' opinion as less relevant because you don't respect them as much is stupid, especially when you don't know if the person you respect more is actually on your side. And then as it turned out Isa did end up being mafia. Yeah. I was not being very serious there. Actually I did trust Harumbai a lot more at that time and I was screwing around.
'Quirvy' said: This is a more consistent problem with you. Instead of laying out your thoughts in an organized manner so that people can clearly see your opinion, you just say that you think that some people are scum but don't really tell why, because you seem to think that people regard your opinion highly, and you don't really need to work hard to get your opinions across to other people. And additionally you're too aggressive. Instead of questioning people, it feels like you often just attack them. You always come off as being angry and taking yourself and the game too seriously, which is part of the reason why I would ever hesitate to play another game with you. Okay. That's one of my secret plays. I like to see how people react to things. I will not explain what I look for in the reactions but yeah, I'm looking for reactions. Also, I'm lazy and bad at making cases. I was also looking for reactions when I straight up asked Yaya if he was mafia on D1. I did get the scummy "No." as an answer without him elaborating at all which I find scummy. It's not at all enough to convince others he's scum though.
'Quirvy' said: Further more, now that the game is over, you've gone on to attack Kooler, Silver, Yaya and jellsprout's play in your shutouts post. Yeah I know I'm being a lot more harsh now but some of the people with really sh**ty play seem to think they played well and stuff and I want these people to realize that their play was horrible. I think jellsprout and Yaya can admit that their play in this game was below my expectations but there's others who seem to think their play was the sh**. These people won't improve their play until they know what's wrong with it.
'Yaya' said: I did have a difficult time adjusting to scum, because like whoever said so in the graveyard, I wasn't scumhunting at all. If I was town I would've pounced on Yuggy and pulled his pancreas' out his nose. I have played differently every game, that's no lie, but I was playing differently in a bad way this game. And it didn't help that I was so town that it hurt to stare too long in Game 3, and offered severe contrast to how I played this game. In the end, yeah I was kinda scummy. But nobody did anything about it, I mean I was flattered and let out an evil laugh when Snipereborn chose me to test his role out on. The only person who suspected me and stayed alive every day was Thomas, and he never followed up every time I made some ****poor excuse. Yeah your excuses were really bad and I was starting to attack you by the end of D3... but then the day was over next time I came on. After Silver quit, I was able to actually focus on scum hunting and I was gonna attack you. It was kinda obvious you and Yuggy were partners after he referred to you as a "pro-town" player.
'Yaya' said: Thomas: You were my least favorite player, and not even because you could've lynched me, lol. You approached stuff from a poor angle this game. You were aggressive in Game 3, but at least it wasn't out of rage, annoyance, or utter doucheness most of the time. I don't feel like digging, but some of your posts were just ridiculous. And I thought it was pretty pathetic that you blacklisted people. We're on a site with 15 active members, dammit. If you play anymore games here, you'll blacklist everyone but Art and Mozart625. I too agree I need a serious break from mafia, this game kinda brought me over the edge, but by refusing to play with/allow in game (the definition of blacklist is sketchy in my head) certain members, how do you expect to start another game in the future? I don't carry actions from previous games over too heavily when it comes to not liking players; every game is a new opportunity for failure. I don't like blacklisting people but this is a team game and it's not fun playing with crappy players like you know who... it also distracts me from scum hunting. What do you think of my reasons for blacklisting (did I even post reasons)? Do you think those people had good play? Did you enjoy playing with those who I have blacklisted and would you play with them again in the future? If you would tolerate that BS shown from Jazz, Kooler, and Silver in another game then I guess you're too nice.
'canadianstickdeath' said: I told you all from the start it was Isa's turn, IDK why you all just didn't quick-lynch him right there, like, the logic was too sound. Yeah and in the first mafia game, I told you guys Silver was mafia. Why didn't you guys quick-lynch her right there? It's not gonna work CSD.
This game showed that my play can be really bad but I can also, in the right conditions (no lurkers and sh** like that), play very well like in newbie 1149 on mafia scum. Man, that was tha best game I ever played and I was so pro-town. Anyway, horrible players distract me from what I am trying to do: scum hunt. After Silver was removed from the game, I was able to focus more on that and I believe my play did get better and I got that case on Yuggy and Shavey put together. | | Silver |

I'm trying to get you to realize that your play was bad and maybe you can improve when you know why your play was horrible. It kind of feels like you think your play was amazing or something and maybe when you know what you're doing wrong you can try to improve. Apparently you're just gonna throw a fit anyway but the post was not to offend you. Anyway, more later. I should be sleeping now because tha soccer game is later. | | Silver |

I know my play was bad, how many times do I have to say it? You don't have to shove that fact in my face so much. Also, "the post was not to offend [me]"? Seriously? The way you phrased everything, to me, comes off as you trying to offend me.

I think your big problem here is that instead of telling people how they can improve their play, you're just saying that their play is bad, and as a result accomplishing nothing. You probably could have just said, "Silver, you really should have just contributed more" or something, but instead you choose to rant on about the fact that her play was bad and how it held you down, or something.

Lol, my bad Thomas. I just kinda read your post, I didn't check to see if I was supposed to respond to any of it.
No, I didn't like their plays. You obviously didn't either. I'm just going off the basis that if their playing was that bad that either a.) they'll change the way they play or b.) they won't bother playing. Maybe I'm giving them too much credit, but Kooler/Silver/Jazz would have to be dead stupid to go into another mafia game doing exactly what they did this game; at that point they'd probably just get lynched out of annoyance or MK'd. I do realize that some of those players I mentioned have had multiple bad games, but I don't think they did the same wrong things in every game if I recall maybe (I'm not entirely sure, for those who haven't grasped that yet)???

And maybe we wouldn't have had a problem with people not posting if you hadn't been so aggressive Thomas. Your play wasn't flawless.
