I've been like Livio-level inactive recently due to college. We got 2 snow days in a row, though, so after spending practically all of yesterday working on a project that was due online today, I decided that I wasn't going to do any work today.

Prediction: Thomas will return to the Interguild in a month because of his desire to make pointless spam threads.

this, btw, made me look up some info about Easter and some more christian holidays, and I was like, LAWL, they eat chocolate eggs to remember the Jesus' grave!..........yeah, anyway, I will have time to be here in the next week starting on Sunday..

I don't know about Christians, but I eat chocolate eggs because they are delicious.

They're kind of unrelated ways to celebrate it. Jesus and chocolate bunnies are as related as Jesus and Santa Claus. Just Christianisty and Western Folklore mashed into one holiday. I think Easter would undoubtedly be more interested if they DID originate from the same source though.

Santa Claus is a nickname for Saint Nicholas, who gave presents to three poor little girls that couldn't afford these themselves, so to honor this saint presents are given on the eve of his holy day, which would be December 5th. But the Americans are a little dumb, so they decided to do this on Christmas instead.
No idea what the story behind the chocolate eggs and easter bunny is, though.

It's to do with rebirth/birth, the rabbit is a symbol of fertility due to their reproductive prowess and the egg was seen as the origin of life when the traditions were created. That's purely from a factual point of view though, I don't know how Christians view it.

I had a lot of homework this weekend and I was celebrating both my birthday and Easter with my family, so I figured I didn't need to be hanging out on the site during all of it, especially with the hijinks as of late. I thought that if I stated publicly that I wouldn't come on, I'd be less motivated to do so, but screw it it's not like I'm going to be busy nonstop today.
