So uh. I'm getting drafted in less than two weeks.

my activity onsite dropped quite a bunch recently imo anyway, well eh...I'll be visiting on weekends tho
make as much use of me as possible in the next two weeks hehe..

How long will you be gone for, and to what extent? Are you free during weekends as you implied?

This is me being not only curious but also worried - please don't get yourself in danger. Israeli military seems like one of the most dangerous jobs in the world (apart from American military), so I am legitimately worried and afraid.

To be fair, I know nothing about what you'll do and where you'll be, but still worried.

You shouldn't worry to my safety, hehe. I'll be safe, I'm going to have 7 month of army-ish training, and then I'll start my real service.

during the first month I"m having a sort of bootcamp, like a newrecruit base training and Rifleman 02 (for non-combatant units). I'll have a really wierdly named rank since I have a degree - "Professional Officer of the Second Class in the Reserve" - in hebrew it's just 'kama' lol xD it's equivalent to First Lieutenant. then after 6 more months of what we call 'officer training' I'll be promoted to a rank equivalent to Lieutenant. and only THEN, around June/July, I'll start working where I should be, which I obviously cannot tell >_>

anyway - during these 7 months I should rarely be at home, a free friday-evening-and-saturday is expected around once in two-three weeks. after that, I'll be home daily, working around 50 hours a week Sunday-thursday.

so uh you should not be worried, but my time to get here is probably going to decrease incredibly. in the 7-month period when I'm not at home, soldiers are usually given 1 hour of break before they go to sleep - to call mom/gf/etc, shower, etc - so during that hour if I manage once in a while I'll try to get here with the phone internet

no lol, it just that my course stats next week, so I'm doing nothing until then. in Jewish holidays you don't get a break from the army, you know even in Yom Kippur.

So I dug this topic from page 3 in the more topics button thing good to know this site is more active than me...

so uh. remember bootcamp? it's over. remember me? I've started and finished a huge course since then. and now I'm even busier. the good points are that I ahve a holiday soon in which I'll be at home; but uh, I'm probably going to be active again in....August..

that is, until I start my masters degree.

I'd say about 100% 99.9% of the time, I access the Interguild from my phone, unless I want to play a level, it works fine for me.

Neither have I. But gahhh, I hope to gain one after a few months. And yeah, of course, using a smartphone for internet is definitely much more comfortable. It takes so much time to use the current one when surfing the internet... :p

If I feel like it, I might get a phone within the next few years.  Maybe it'll be a smart phone. =P

I almost never navigate the site on my phone. I mean, you can do it if you need to, but it's much easier to navigate it using a computer. I don't see why one would prefer using their phone.
