Slightly offended by the fact that Death Traipse was placed in this category, but none the less I voted for it.

Genesis shouldn't be winning! I thought Triathlon was much crazier than that. And who knows what kind of unseen awesomeness is hidden in HATPC Hardcore?

Lol, looking at what I've picked in these polls, I've realized I have a bad habit of unintentionally intentionally biasing my own levels.

Accel, this isn't Hardest Level, but Best Super-Hard Level. Although I am still surprised Genesis is winning. I thought it belonged in the Best Underrated Level.

Yeah, that's a really stupid name for a category, seeing as how we have established that the less hard is usually better. So are we supposed to vote for the cave that we enjoyed the most, or that we believed to be the hardest?

How can Hardcore HATPC not win this? I have to change underwear each time I look at the map, for God's sake!

I'd vote for the best one, not the hardest one. If the theme were Best Metal Cave, you wouldn't vote for the cave with the most metal crates.

No, but seeing as how we've established how hard caves are supposedly bad, it's like having a "Best Bad Cave" category. With this category, you're pretty much saying that we should vote for the easiest hard cave, because it will be a better overall cave, as it will be more fun.

Well thats what I did.

I don't like Hatpc Hardcore because I can't beat any of it.
I don't like Triathlon because I can only beat one trap.
I don't like Genesis because I can't beat any of it.

And then while I like Death traipse a bit, I had no idea where to go so I voted for the metal movement because I can get half wayish, but it is still pretty hard.

I assumed that this category was for catering to the old forgotten mindset of "hard=good", so I voted for HatPC Hardcore since it looks like the most ridiculously difficult one here. The Metal Movement was the easiest of these (I could actually get through at least 5% of that one), so maybe I should have voted for that, but... I dunno, like Quirvy said, it's sort of ambiguous since I still don't know what makes super-hard levels good.

That is the problem here. The more difficult a level gets, the less enjoyable it usually becomes. I'd personally say you should vote for the level that you think was constructed the best. So which had the most interesting design, most original traps, most fun to play, etc. The Super-Hard is merely a threshold for which caves apply.
That is why I'm surprised Genesis received four votes. The design was ultra-lineair with much open space and square non-cave like "rooms" (although all of these were intended), I doubt any of you, except Teo, has actually gotten past the dynamite, non of the traps were original (although again this was intended) and I don't think any of the traps are super fun.

triathlon and TMM aren't that difficult

In the Triathlon I gotten some 20 chests so it's not hard for me

actually Teo, I think the only hard cave here is obviously HH, and it's by far harder than all the other caves here combined; the hardest one after it is probably Triathlon, and then Genesis, and then TMM, and then DT. but obviously, this is just my opinion. other people seem to find triathlon's first trap hard, but in this case, ced's ImBak should be quite hard. and DT - I can beat DT around 50% of the tries, i assume.

but see, the problem is that we have to take it in proportions. it's the hardest-to-the-average-interguilder I think. you could protest before we released the results, anywayss...

No Shos, you heard Teo. Triathlon is tick easy and you should be ashamed of yourself for making it. It should've been included in the Best Easy Level category.

well, i can beat 50% of triathlon 50% of the tries, if it helps you feel better somehow. but it has some unplanned luck parts near the end - after taking the gold that fell through the floor, if i remember correctly, there's a semi-luckjump.

I know, and that's what I meant when i said Triathlon was crazier. Or rather, much more enjoyable. To watch. In fact, it seems that the only purpose these hard caves serve is to make amazing walkthroughs. So I guess this is why we have this category, and not to pay homage to the old mentality that "hard = good", as Dando stated. Now if only Shos or someone would make a HATPC Hardcore walkthrough....
