Have you guys been keeping up with the pre-release updates? There have been a lot of things added. 1. There are ocelots which you can tame and get cats 2. You can breed tamed wolves 3. Tamed wolves, creepers and zombies have MUCH better path-finding abilities, which means creepers can stalk you 4. Creepers run away from cats Those are the major ones I've found right now. | |

Spoiler: Kittens are the most adorable baby animals in Minecraft ever. All the other babies have gigantic heads which looks horribly, horribly weird instead of cute (YMMV).
