Interesting. I wil really try to get a level in this time. It'll probably be Ss2, Hatpc or Ninja Plus if you can get it to work in the galleries.

COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.
Give me +karma. Give me +karma.

It appeared at 5:17 pm. That's not the time that it showed up, it's the time that Accel intended it to show up. Unless I completely missed this and this post did show up an hour and 17 minutes ago.

This comp did show up at the frontpage the desired time. Then it vanished from Recent Posts.

An hour ago? Why don't I remember it being on the recent posts/comments area?

I still don't trust it.

for some reason delayed news posts don't show up on the recent post box. If they did, then the topic would exist before the post was supposed to show up and there'd be spoilers....

You should pay more attention to changes in the front page

I would if they were something interesting, like say, a post declaring that you've finished your work on the new points system.

Right now, I'm actually working on a Zelda Classic dungeon. Only problem is, last time I made a Zelda Classic dungeon, it took me 2 months to finish.

sounds more like a remake. I imagine a parody making it either much easier or much more ridiculous

Climb Up Reload? Sounds old. Are you allowing old levels? I mean, it's reasons like this that you basically should say that every time.

It says whatever cave you can, but how would judges judge? Even if its a hard cave, (its still "whatever"), i could predict what results my hard cave would get even if i made a walkthrough.

Again, if shos was here. *sigh*

what's with the lack of entries? I mean, you can enter whatever you want in this comp, and there's been a lot of new levels since this comp was out, so the question is: did everyone forget about this comp or what?

I think it's strange to have a level-designing competition between several different games. It's not really practical to judge the quality of each level alongside one another because you can't make any direct comparisons. Not only that, but it's entirely possible for a judge to prefer one game over another and be biased accordingly, no matter how neutral s/he tries to be.

On another note, HatPC is without a doubt the best level-designing game we have on the site and, judging from activity here, still the best game to have competitions for. Maybe you can keep HatPC comps constant, like before, and have these kinds of non-HatPC-only comps separate.

And, for HatPC comps, have themes better than "Nature".  =p

I was going to start a HATPC comp today but I decided not to at the last minute because the lack of activity. I thought that since no one was joining such an easy comp as this, then there's no way we could start another comp.

And I just judged the platform comp a while ago, and when I judged I mainly focused on what was the most impressive thing that someone did with that game, how creative they got with it, and how amusing the overall thing was to play-- along with if that amusement was because anything on the game's side or the participant's side. It wasn't all that hard, really.

But there also brings up the idea of effort. Some games take more effort to make than others. So then the problem might be if a really awesome Super Stacker level, for example, wrongly loses to this ginormous HATPC map because the HATPC map just had more stuff. But then again, it's the judge's job to realize the possibilities and limits of each game and not let that get in the way.

Well, basically I'm just rambling, but not just anyone can judge a multi-game comp, I guess.

I'd enter a hatpc level, but I haven't made on in a while, due to lack of inspiration and such.
