This was also the week when most of us went back to school, so not many of us showed up here this week.
I didn't make much progress on the new layout this week because I had a lot of school work. But I am working on it a lot this weekend. Also, to help pay Haily back for some of the stuff he's helped me with this site, I agreed to help him in some huge project that he has planned for his site. I'm not sure when this project will start, but it doesn't seem very likely that he'll begin soon.
There have been reports of HATPC not working for some people, lately. They've been getting shockwave errors when either opening it or trying to play it. I don't know if many people had this problem, but most likely it could just be a browser update or a shockwave update that is conflicting with the game.
Last Sunday, dando52 started a new topic called Ask D52 in apparent competition with jellsprout's Ask Sprout topic. In just one day, Ask D52 held more questions and posts than Ask Sprout accumulated in one month. Ask D52 is now the third highest rated topic in the Interguild, behind the walkthroughs for Realm of Dying Brain and Snowflake of Doom.
The popularity of Ask D52 created controversy within the staff. Many could not see the humor behind the topic, nor could they understand why Harumbai and I +1-rated so many of dando52's posts, which skyrocketed her total karma into the hundreds. So several ratings were painstakingly removed by the staff, and now we are planning on blocking karma rates for accounts similar to dando52.
I then became aware of the fact that I was giving out too many positive karma rates and not enough negative ones. So I re-launched my campaign to give out more bad karma rates (the one I started multiple months ago). This led to nobody caring.
