ShareThis1) Everyone becomes Anonymous
The most notable change was that yesterday every member's name was replaced with Anonymous. No one could tell who was really online, and all of the personal information on posts were removed so that there was no way to know who was posting what. The April Fools! topic is one example how people reacted to the change.
2) Aeon Demo Rickroll
When you opened the new Aeon demo, you'll find your character standing next to a yellow square (which is supposed to be a treasure chest) and a door. I claimed that I had made a new sound effect for the collect-treasure action and I wanted to make sure people heard it. But when you grabbed it, the background changed to a screenshot from the Rickroll'd video and its music started playing. Even after you quit the level, the music wouldn't turn off, and if you activated the rickroll again, the music would start playing on top of itself.
Along with the background change, the player changed from a box with an arrow on it to an old picture drawn by Catta/Kitti/Silver a long time ago as a suggestion of what the Aeon hero should look like. It was some kind of cat with a sword and shield, and most of us thought it was a hilariously bad idea. No offense, to Catta, though.
(btw, Catta changed her name once again; this time to Silver. To prevent another frequent name change from happening, the staff will not permit her to change her name again for another year.)3) Midnight's Prank
Last week, a new member called Midnight joined. He made terrible caves and wrote posts filled with a lack of punctuation and horrible grammar. But on April 1st, Midnight posted Midnight Cave II, which had significant effort put into it and showed a skill that was unparalleled to anything midnight had made before. On top of that, the description, as well as subsequent posts he made throughout the day, were written with perfect grammar and displayed a much more intellectual tone.
However, no one noticed this prank, even though he found a way around the Anonymous thing (by posting his avatar image at the end of each of his posts). Midnight was in fact just another fake member, and the whole thing was planned by jell.
4) Quirvy's new cave
This wasn't as big as the other things, but Quirvy posted a new cave: The Rise 2. Except that when you go and load the cave, you get a shockwave error. Unfortunately, I didn't fall for it because I always click "Generate Preview" and in the preview came up the shockwave error tile. Although, if you look at the comments, you'll see an awesome review posted by Midnight.
5) Combopack
There was a new censor that we were passing around, which was :combo pack: (without the space), and it produced this, but both videos were on auto-play.

I came up with the Anonymous idea about 2 hours before April fools, despite the fact that we had been discussing other ideas about a week beforehand. I suggested that Livio make a new Aeon Demo, and have it include some sort of prank, and that we use Catta's old drawing, but Livio came up with the idea for the Rick Astley background/music. He was also supposed to have put in Deku's music upon release, as another incentive to get you to listen, but didn't. I actually did take some time into "Rise II" so that it could easily pass off as a legitimate cave when people glanced at the cavecode. I might eventually transform it into an actual cave. Also, I thought Isa(who suggested we use the weird Trololol video) wanted us to stay away from automated videos this year? oh, BTW guys, :rackroll:  | |

yep =] and the anonymous thingie was very cool. even us, mods, couldn't know who people were. if we wanted to edit posts, we'd have to guess a username at the address bar, and only if we guessed correctly we'd be able to edit the posts.  | |

btw, i didn't know that the aeon demo thing was a prank, i thought it was planned, lol. also, jell added a censor that changes jell(capitalized) to Shos, so in quirvy's post, it's jell, not Shos. | |

Yes he was. Jell didn't announce to us that it was him, but... 1. We normally do IP checks on new users, because of Kitti/cedric 2. It was incredibly obvious that he was making fun of me for when I temporarily changed my name to Midnight. It took me literally like 3 seconds to figure out that it was Jell. | |

On the old forums, Kitti (and one time, cedric) created some accounts claiming to be new members, and mods compared IPs of posts to confirm that they were indeed not new members but just Kitti in disguise. So now we've got a habit of checking the IP of new members whenever we get suspicious, and that's what quirvy meant in his post. | |
