Seems like people are still on, they're just not posting as much.

I dare everyone to make a comment on any recent level! I will, as soon as I get home from school.

Ouch.

Say, could members of IC help me with Java? We're forced to learn it in school and I may be in need of some help.

We originally were supposed to continue with AS 2.0, but all of the guys in the class said that it was everything but useful to know (which I must agree with), and Java was quickly suggested. I think that after Christmas, we'll drop Java and pick up C++...it's horrible. We're partially learning three coding languages.

It's actually three different courses - Programming A-C. Everyone in Sweden taking a science education with focus on math and programming studies those courses. Programming A and B are supposed to be taught over the course of half a year each, and Programming C over a whole year. In my school, however, we're forced to learn all of these in the same year.

It blows. A lot.

I'm taking this strange online class. We're learning some of the basic C++ but it's kinda confusing. I am 12 and what is this.

whoa 2980 lines. and: "Warning: The serializable class Cavemaker does not declare a static final serialVersionUID field of type long"

you also have a bunch of private variables that are never read locally

Lol what warning is that? I've never seen that before.
Private variables that are never read locally? What does that mean?

I don't know what the first warning is about, but basically you have a bunch of variables that never get used. Or maybe Eclipse is wrong...

The variables that never get used? Lol, try deleting them all and seeing what happens... If I had a guess, I'd say that there might be some variables in the internal class that are only being referenced outside of it, and your editor is thinking that, because I never reference them inside the class and they're marked as private, they can never be used.
