Yes, but who types the full site out? I never include www. in any site I link to. You don't need http://www. for a link to work. And let's say that we get 10 new members that use IE. The majority of people still use Chrome. I don't have IE on this computer, but I am pretty sure that IE copies the http:// as well.

Livio while your at it you should update your BBCode system to insert the tags into the textarea with a code like this: http://www.codingforums.com/showpost.php?p=1064221&postcount=8
With that it adds the tags wherever the cursor is and also if you highlight part of the post and click on a tag button it automatically puts the tags around the highlighted text. | | Dekudude |

'Bmwsu' said: When you click the URL button when making a post, and it comes up with , I don't think the http:// is necessary. The "Link" button on posts give you that, and since most, if not all people, use Chrome, which, when coping a URL, gives you that as well, I think it's not worth keeping it. 'Isa' said: Also, it's handy if you type out the link by hand instead of copying an address. yeah that's basically the reason why it gives you the http. If you were typing a URL by hand and wrote "google.com" instead of the full URL, then the link will get broken and will instead link you to "interguild.org/members/forums/google.com" -- if you click on the link while viewing a forum topic like this one. I guess I could make it so that the bbcode adds http for you if you missed it, but that'll be kinda messy, now that I think about how the bbcode runs.

It's not like it wasn't like that on the old Interguild...=p | | Livio |

Done! Now it's like the old forums. Now I just need to add it to the preview post page and anywhere else I have forgotten about. | | Thomas |

Livio, would it be possible that you don't automatically get logged out whenever you log in on a different computer/browser? I use both a Windows 7 and an Ubuntu boot on my computer and it is a bit annoying that I have to log in again whenever I log into a different OS.

Maybe but it'll be hard/annoying to do since in order to start a new log in session, the site has to end your previous one or else we could end up with one user being logged in from two computers at once, which is a security risk for that user.
Besides, I never use the "remember me" feature, I log in every time, and I have an obnoxiously long password. | | jellsprout |

Would it be possible to make a preview page for uploading levels?

it would be possible, but it sure would be annoying to implement considering how much info you can submit into that form. | | Yaya |

I'm not sure if how easy/practical this'd be to implement, but it'd be cool if that little spit of code you have to paste into Fiddler was shown on actual level pages. Sure, call me lazy for not wanted to open one more tab. It's not that I need to "Click here to learn how to play it" every time I play an uploader glitch level, it's I can't remember all that code. I know the rest of the process instantly now. Just a "ponder 1st-world-interguild-problems whilst procrastinating on an essay about Frederick Douglass" thought.

Sure, if I probably committed myself to it. You could memorize Imperio's code if you tried hard enough. The unfortunate thing is I have more important things to memorize than bits of code to play a shockwave game involving a treasure collecting squirrel's glitched levels, and some of those things aren't even other bits of code to play other shockwave games involving anthropomorphic mammals' glitched levels. But more importantly, why would I 1st memorize it, and than type all that out just to avoid clicking a window. I can understand memorizing BBCode, but that's overboard IMO.

First off: What the heck is up with the poll!?
Second off: Why isn't this topic pinned?
Third off: In the video archive (lololz), when selecting a date range, the only years available are 2007 and 2008. This kinda impedes searching a bit.

There used to be a glitch where you could vote in polls multiple times: that explains the absurd amount of participants. As for the results, you know where the Interguild stands...

This topic is not pinned because bug reports go in the bug reports topic. | | Bmwsu |

But, it's not a bug? It was intentionally placed? This just seemed like the better place.
But, if you want to suggest something, then it doesn't go in the bugs topic. It goes in this one. I think this topic is worthy enough to be pinned to make it more convenient.

Here's an idea that yimmy came up with: what if members were allowed to lock topics that they started?
It seems a little weird to give member the ability to lock topics like that, but part of me also wonders, why not? | | Isa |

I agree with the self-locking idea though - I don't know why that wasn't in place originally. | | |
