That wouldn't matter too much. If they are simply ordered by last post time and if they get their normal Unread icon, it will be good enough.

Well if the page knows whether or not the post has an unread icon, why couldn't it just display only those? But seriously, having something that people will use often that goes through all the topics... could be rough on the server. But what do I know?

actually, as long as we have good enough pagination. But that's a great idea, jell-- mainly b/c of how easy it is to implement...... I'll go do it now...

Who made that stealth poll?

Anyway, seeing as we have a difficulty rating, I don't see why we couldn't have an enjoyment rating as well. It would be very neat to sort by enjoyment, and probably more useful, than difficulty.

I thought the enjoyment rating was the main one anyway?

That's more like everything put together. Design, layout, originality, can you cheat some traps...along with enjoyment and difficulty.

I guess so, in which case lets not add an enjoyment rating because my levels will look bad. They look cool and fun, but then you play them and....

A level of any difficulty can be enjoyable. Obviously, if you put something stupid hard that nobody can complete, that's not because hard levels are inherently less enjoyable, it's just poor level design. Challenge is often more fun than not, but only if it's done right.

So I don't think it's necessary for enjoyment, originality, and the like to have their own ratings. It's just gonna clutter things up and provide little value. Difficulty, on the other hand, can help narrow down what levels you might like to play. Obviously, you want to play a level that is enjoyable, original, well-designed, etc, and it's values like those that the overall level rating is supposed to represent, but you might not want to play a level that is too hard for your perhaps-limited skill level or too easy to provide any real challenge.

I'd like to suggest that we should shorten the length of Smf text boxes on the level pages. Can't we make them more then one line of text? I think it'd look better that way, and when I 1st put out my Smf level, I had to scroll all the way to the end of the page to click the edit level button when there was a typo in the description and again when I forgot something in the level. It's just a though, but I'd enjoy it.

I'd like to suggest a generator for this game.

Many old HatPC levels are currently slightly glitched - a blank space is added at the end of each row. I'd like to propose some tool that lets you check if your level has a space at the end of each row, and if so, removes it.

Epic poll. I wish I could vote for all of them, but I voted for swearsprout so I can take over Sprout Tower.

there's no wrapping in the textboxes, and all the code stays on one line, so that's why it's like that. However, I can turn wrapping on, and then make the boxes bigger.

But I don't know what you mean by having to scroll all the way to the end of the page to click Edit Level. Was the page ridiculously stretched out somehow? What browser was this in?

I'll add the generator to my to-do list. I should probably get the Free Rider and N generators done soon... but I seem to be more interested in working on Aeon.

Maybe scan each line of the code while checking if the line ends in a space, and it'll also have to take into account irregularities in line length (which happens often with these extra spaces). It would have to make an array for each line length it encounters, and order then all from largest length to smallest. And if all the largest-lengths end in spaces, it'll remove them all... Seems like a lot of work. Maybe I'll add it to my to-do list so that I won't forget about this idea.
