gravel is good for paths, actually.

Yeah, gravel is not that bad when used in the proper context.  Using gravel for paths doesn't look that bad, as well as the facts that it's a more worthless and cheaper resource than stoen bricks.  Remember, anything we build on here will be 100% legitimate.

I believe you spawn in the old world with portals to other worlds (survival and server2)

Also, all or most major roads will be constructed UNDERGROUND.  

That's the plugin that I tried installing the other day, but it just doesn't work with the current version of bukkit.

I agree with Isa. If you feel like you need plugins to make Survival easier, then you're probably not playing very practically. Maybe you should build stuff near Spawn before you go out building things that are miles away.

Okay, rather than installing that plugin, I installed this one, which has commands for changing both time and weather:

Rather than creating a new rank for this, I got lazy and just decided to give the power to all Architects. I also disabled the pause/play time feature because it causes the server to reload every time it's used and that's just not good for all of the plugins that we have. I think it's the dynamic map generator that really slows down the reload process.

Hey guys, I used ender eyes and found a stronghold with the end portal. Unfortunately, I still need about 9 more ender eyes to open the gate. Meanwhile, you should be getting lots of gear. So we just upgraded the server to have a mysql database, raising our total monthly cost to $6 USD a month, and we used that database to install a block-logging plugin so that we can track and rollback griefs and unwanted disasters.

I actually posted in the admin topic that I would add Darvince once we got a logging feature. So what's your minecraft username, Darvince?
