HATPC Comp #25 - Parody
This comp has already ended and has been judged.
Start Date: Saturday, Jan 24, 2009
End Date: Saturday, Feb 7, 2009
Game: Only HATPC content is allowed

Competition Rules:
Make a parody about anything you want. There's been an almost-trend recently of people making parodies of other people's caves, which was started by Isa and his cave The Decent that parodied Quirvy's The Descent. I recommend doing something like this, but if you don't want to, you can also make a parody of anything else you want. Just have fun with this competition, and you are allowed to enter old levels this time.

Click here for the post that released these results.

Final Results:
7th: Sediment of Dew (HATPC) - Teo
4th: The Decent (HATPC) - Isa
9th: Mental Madness (HATPC) - Quirvy
2nd: Missing Lynx 3 (HATPC) - GF4
5th: The Acent (HATPC) - snowman
10th: ExploreSunkenTitanic (HATPC) - krotomo
11th: INeverActuallyLeft (HATPC) - canadianstickdeath

8th: Cataclysmic Eruption (HATPC) - Ckjr
1st: The Spike Dream (HATPC) - Harumbai

actually what happened was that I had to get a new code for the ads for the new domain, and the new one randomly chooses between image and text. And besides, image ads look really professional.

and the profiles look bad anyway. they need a revamp.

so... how's judging? I just finished all of my homework right now, so I'll guess I'll start my judge results.

I won't be able to do anything today and most likely not tomorrow either.
Expect my results sometime during next week.

how'd you get there? I got to the ladder near the dynamite, but I couldn't go anywhere. there must be some ladder-crawl space glitch that I forgot about.

The ladder crawl trap took a lot time for me to pass it. I had to keep duck-jumping around it just to get in.
Thats why i gave up after the second try.

Accel, could it be possible to unjudge me? I simply don't have the time and energy to judge 11 caves.

I'm currently at page seven, which is empty, but it looks like I'm at page six. Fix that, Accel/Haily. Not a big issue though.

Jell, you're no longer a judge. Feel free to read your books.

Because it's a news post, the replies counter counts the first post as regular post, but it doesn't show up as a regular post.
So when there are 19 replies to the news post, the counter counts 20 and it creates a new page. But because there are only 19 posts on that single page, the new page will be empty. That's at least my hypothesis.

And the reading is going somewhat okay. I read Catcher in the Rye today. I'm nearly done with my English list now so now I'm going to focus on Dutch literature.

hey that's a pretty good theory. but I don't think it counts the news post as a post. It should be working similarly to the video archive, and I'm not sure if the video archive has the same glitch.

I remember Catcher in the Rye. I had to read it over the summer for freshmen year, and I felt so dumb when I found out that the whole story was being told from the point of view of a guy in a psychiatrist's office. 0_o Never would've guessed that...

Doesn't the Video Archive have the same problem? That's why I thought it up. As only topics with those types of opening posts seem to have the glitch.

I said I wasn't sure if it had the same problem or not. It's confusing trying to keep track of all these glitches.

...

I told haily your theory, and he said it might be counting the topic as a post (basically the same thing), but he thought he fixed it. Anyway, he says he'll fix it again... some day.
