it's like binary but instead of base 2 it's base 1.61803...
interestingly enough, every integer has a rational representation in such a transendental base

It's silly to say that your name is in phinary, or whatever your saying, because that isn't only what your username is in. It's also in binary (460534), in base-3 (559689357), in base-4 (90195645716), in octal (20547674510233670), and so on.

i guess, but the probability that my username is actually written in hexadecimal is low compared to the probability that it's in binary because i've only used digits 0 and 1

But it is written in hexadecimal, because all of the characters in your username make up a valid hexadecimal number.

If your username was like 76834, then you could say that it is hexadecimal, decimal, but you couldn't say that it's octal, binary, or anything base-X where X <= 8, because it contains the digit 8 which is not in octal or anything base less than 8

I hate how every day, when I come online, there's only like 2 new posts, so there isn't really much to reply to.

Nobody ever posts, so nobody ever replies. It is an endless cycle.

*Cough* Ahem. *Cough*

You see, it's not exactly like that. *Nobody makes interesting posts, so *nobody will respond to them. But if someone did make an interesting post, someone would reply to it; adding on to it or negating it, etc.. For example, Mymop's post; Darvince noticed it, and explained why. Then I saw Darvince's post, and explained it more in depth, and you never know, someone might reply to my post, probably agreeing or disagreeing with it, for whatever reason.

However, Darvince is partially right, for there's the fact that *nobody makes posts, because for the past several months, the Interguild has seen an inactivity streak, especially with Staff Members, *Cough* Livio *Cough* and a lot of the time, when we get onto the site, *nobody is online, so we don't want to come online, because there will be *nobody to talk to or whatever.

*It's not literally nobody, I'm using hyperbole, in case you were wondering.

*It's literally nobody, I'm not using hyperbole in this case.

I feel bad about the inactivity because it's summer time and I'm still inactive. Also, I promised I would play a bunch of hatic levels once summer came around and I have yet to do so. I've gotta remember to come on here and contribute more. But of course, even if I'm on here, I'm not totally sure I can come up with activity out of thin air.

I actually think the lack of activity is sort of a nice thing, in a way. It gives off this sort of relaxed, laid back feeling that most sites buzzing with activity don't. And in another way it reinforces the fact that this is a cozy community that has no problem going slow? A bit hard to explain, but that's the vibe I'm getting. The slow activity is also a nice break from rather active sites from Tumblr, as well.

By the way, about a month or something ago, I watched another anime, called Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's a deconstruction of the magical girl genre, and it's only twelve episodes, rather short, but it's a very well-done anime, I would definitely recommend it. I have a few little nitpicks about it but overall it was a very enjoyable watch. Has anyone else here watched it? (Only Yaya has, I'm assuming.)

You have assumed correctly. Good stuff. I actually wouldn't recommend it to everyone; I feel you need some sort of prior experience with the genre to enjoy it. PM me for more in-depth discussion if you want.

I actually like Silver's take on the lack of activity. It certainly does make it much easier to keep up when there are only a handful of new posts each day. But at the same time you don't want it to get to the point where there's only 2-4 new posts each day. Luckily that isn't the case, but we could still use more activity.

I agree, but I kinda wish that it was more. I'd say a perfect level would be where if I left for 12 hours, half of the recent posts and comments would be new.

I agree also. In addition to all this inactivity, almost all of the new posts are about new HATPC levels or something which I personally don't find very interesting.
And when there's a lot of new levels, topics like the Politics Topic that are interesting get moved out of the Recent Posts and Comments section, and they get less new posts. When this happens to forum games such as You Have One Post To... or What's In The Crate? in the middle of a round, often nobody rates the current round, so there's no winners and no new rounds start, and some members who just about only post on those topics don't post as much and there is less new posts every day which means that there's less to reply to and even less new posts. Sometimes to make up for this, some members make lots of new levels that some people don't care about so there aren't very many new posts anyways.
