It happens to be different taking the countries and the size of the city into mind, however I wouldn't say about my school things like this, because all of people happen to be even too crazy about Jesus and things. Everything's healthy at some sense but don't overdose it!

I'm not entirely sure why that matters to you. I also can't tell how you reached your conclusion.

We have a private school that's Catholic (jory, you know what i'm talking about). not saying all are, but this school is an absolute joke. supposed to be good and christian and holy and stuff, but it's the exact opposite. filled with preppy kids that smoke and drink. they have a "praying break" but i'm sure only like one or two kids use that time, probably moved to this area unknowing of their reputation. private schools are different here...

This is true.private schools in the US seem to be a status symbol, rather than a better school.

On the other hand, over here the Christian school is one of the highest ranking schools in the district. I think most of the higher ranking school in the Vancouver area are either religious/private or private. The average exam mark in the Christian school in 2012 was 78.6, compared to my school, at between 70 and 75 (haha thomas now you can't track down which school i go to). I don't think it's the religion itself which contributes to higher marks, though, but rather the strict policies they have in it. Of course, since this is Canadia, it could possibly different in other countries. I think the top ranking school in the Vancouver area is private? It requires an exam to go into, though. Plus, you can't trust that damn Fraser Institute. /joke

hey that's interesting. Someone (quirvy!) should make statistics about the religions on the site.

I know that only 2 (right?, me and jorster?) are jewish, many are atheists, mostly are christians, is there a muslim? buddhist?

Technically, the high school I went to is a Jewish school. However almost nobody who goes there is actually Jewish and there are no special Jewish activities. It is basically just a secular private school, except it was founded as a Jewish school.

Yeah, I'm Jewish. I feel like a majority would be Agnostic or Atheist, with a few Christians sprinkled in.

I think we should move this conversation into the politics thread, yes? Some one might want to use this one for something else, and we don't want them to feel like they're interrupting.

Tangentially related, have you tried Neopet's Choose Your Own Adventure Generator? It sorta sounds like what you're talking about, except it's all streamlined and stuff.

i'm just gonna say this here and now.

karma sucks. it's dumb.
because of it people don't have the openness to tell people what they do wrong. and thus they will continue doing it. karma spamming is way to easy, also

Getting karma informs us about the acceptableness of our actions, allowing for feed back about our social interactions that we would not otherwise have access to. Karma, though flawed, is a metric for helping integrate all the disparate personalities and views of an online community, letting us say as a community what we will tolerate and what we will not. Getting bad karma tells you that you've done something wrong; it does not mean that you've done everything wrong.
