You would have built something in an empty spot in a city.

Ok, just wondering because there's a sign saying not to build anything in Spawn City.

Well, I didn't mean specifically in Spawn City. I mean places like light town or sunrise bay or something.

I think it's better to just always ask, because not every city has public building space in it.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind next time I'm unsure of something.

Also, I found another cool video. The first thing that comes to mind while watching this, for
me, is Amish Paradise by Weird Al.

In order to increase server up-time, I'm going to give out karma to whoever reports server issues first. In cases when multiple people report that the server is down, I'll award the karma to whoever's report I see first. Here's a list of places that I am most likely to see first, with the most likely being on top:

Email (livio@interguild.org).
PMs.
Top of the Chatbox.
This topic.

And since jazz just reported that the server was down a few minutes ago, I already gave him +karma.

PS: the server's back up now.

Yo, the server's down again. It went off maybe 10 minutes after I went on it.
I have no idea what caused it to crash, unless sitting in a minecart crashes it...

It must have something to do with the full render that's currently running for the map. I'll keep a tab open to keep an eye on the server in case it goes down again soon.

I rediscovered my server powers and restarted the server so that it's online again. I'd give myself karma if I could for this, but I can't, so Livio...

I noticed that while I was watching the logs earlier. The surface map for Different is just about usable again, but I'll leave it running for just a while longer until it fills up enough space to cover that chunk that's hanging off the right side of the map.

I made a large board near the survival spawn. It's called the Advertisement Board. Basically, you can post ads or announcements if you're selling something or have created something. You can also post requests. You do this by placing signs on the board. Once you no longer need a sign on the board, please remove it to save space. You also need to write your username so that people know who you are when you post the signs.

Examples of signs:

Selling diamonds, will trade! -Person

In need of sand! Please trade! -Guy

Built a new town at x 96, z 96 -Someone

I got the idea for this board when I needed gravel and there was nobody online to trade with. Now with this board, people can check it occasionally to see who needs what, and they can also post their own signs.

Yeah it seems to go down every 30 minutes when the fullrender is running. Server has been restarted.

that's a cool idea, kro. People should also get in the habit of placing signs to their creations and towns.

Sorry if I came across as rude, or something.  I understand if you didn't see the post.

I check several times a day, so I will be sure to update it as soon as possible.

Your host seems to be slow on the updating side Dont know the restrictions your host have but you should be able to update it yourself

Why hasn't the host made 1.4.5 available?
