We got a total of 8 new videos this week. Almost all of them were HATPC walkthroughs (three of which from Quirvy), and the others were kinda strange novelty videos. We also had 28 new levels uploaded to the database this week, but they were mostly people documenting their Minecraft creations. Some notable levels that were made include Yaya's Roast Beef, GF4's 4FG, Isa's Full Marks, and Quirvy's Our Humble Leader. The results for the "Do the Mario" Comp and the 1-800-Suicide Comp were finally released. I had actually forgot that we had even held those comps. Speaking of comps, we are still in the middle of our First Minecraft Competition. We've been having lots of technical issues with the Minecraft server lately, which led us to extend the comp for a second time. It's currently set to end this Sunday on the 26th. As far as I know, we've upgraded the server this week and we haven't had any issues since. Although we did get hit by a griefer this week. It turns out that one of guyguy's real-life friends, username IceClaw, just went around and started to damage our structures. At first we thought all he did was break a whole through the Beacon, for which we immediately banned him. Then we looked through the logs and found out that he destroyed around 400 blocks all over the server. Meanwhile, IceClaw just kept nagging us to forgive him and let him back on the server. Eventually he started cheating censors in an attempt to get himself banned from the site as well. The whole thing was just weird. I don't even get why people grief in the first place. It's not even that funny, and if it is, you just end up laughing alone, after getting dozens of people to hate you. This guy didn't even have the luxury of being anonymous, and after getting banned, all he did was make a complete fool of himself. So like I said, the whole thing is just weird. The Interguild Olympics are about to start (July 1st), and so we've opened up team sign-ups. If you haven't signed up yet, then don't miss your chance! Exactly one week after posting his super-creepy trailer, GF4 posted Episode 1 of Season 2 of the Interguild comic. In other news: CSD Thomas breaks a record for fastest karma plunge in non-karma-war conditions. The Close Encounter Award has practically lost all value by now. Aeon progress! 3 Days left in the Best of 2010 Run-off Polls FAIL OF THE WEEK Page 4 of the Thomas Ramble Thread That page is drenched with fail. First, you've got Thomas starting and ending a karma war, then you've got Thomas cheering for the Canucks who ended up losing, then lots of links and images of the Vancouver riots after they lost the game, and finally (this goes onto the next page) as Isa put it: 'Isa' said: Thomas was this close to being useful for once. WIN OF THE WEEK Thomas beating Quirvy's latest level There weren't that many highly rated posts this week. Did IceClaw put you guys in a bad mood or something? Or maybe there's just something about June that makes people want to go to Karma War. User Comments (8)
