When you remove the .'s then you have double quotes that aren't escaped which is why you get an error. I don't really know exactly what you can put inside the ". STUFF HERE . " but I think it's so you can do math stuff or put a function in there. I personally prefer to do that stuff outside of the echo and then put the variable in the echo because I find it cleaner like this:
Code:
<?php
for ($count = 1 ; $count <=12 ; ++$count) {
	$answer = $count * 12;
	echo "$count times 12 is $answer.<br />";
}
?>

I did try it in Chrome originally. All F3 does is bring up the "find" function and F5 refreshes the page.

I was wondering what Shos's post was about. Then I noticed for some reason I didn't have "highlight all" on and it all made sense.

Lol when I first did it, I did what yaya did cuz I thought he meant F3-->F5, then I figured out what was going to happen and did it anyways, and it automatically scrolled me down past it to Yaya's time "Monday, August 22 2011, 12:15 pm EST"

Anyways, I don't get why anyone would feel the need to -1 that, it's just some harmless fun.

In the end, I just did it to jokingly bug Shos, lol. But Shos doesn't get bugged by -karma. Have no fear though, Shos is an intelligent, sober?, dog bearing man; he can easily earn back the karma in no time.

i'm in the karma range of 140-144 for around uh... 9 months, I think...
If I cared more, I'd make my own comics and own ya all mwaahaha xD and yes I'm sober, it's 8:36 pm here, I'm going out today only in an hour or so, and besides, everybody has to go to the army/work tomorrow morning, so it's unlikely I'll drink..

So, my mom's laptop just broke, and by broke I mean the screen went completely blank, and the hard drive won't spin.  So now she's on the phone with some idiot from India making her remove the RAM, put it back in, turn it on again, and other pointless questions.  Right now, I am just like "JUST GIVE US THE BLEEPING WARRANTY INFO TO SHIP IT IN!!!".

I was on my way home from Chick-Fil-A when it struck, so I probably didn't feel it due to being in a moving car. But several of my local relatives posted on Facebook that they felt it.

I didn't really feel it as first as much as I noticed that the house was audibly shaking.

The crust on the east coast is different than that of the west coast. When an earthquake like this happens on the west coast, it's more centralized, but when it happens on the east coast (which rarely gets earthquakes at all, might I remind you) people all over the coast can feel it. Of major cities that I've heard have felt this, I've heard Detroit, Raleigh, Richmond (which was pretty close to the epicenter), Washington DC, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Columbus, Detroit, New York City, Virginia Beach, and even Boston and Toronto, although I'm not totally sure about that, it seems a little bit too far away. I wonder how far west it was felt.

Yeah, even though this is chopped liver compared to what New Zealand and Japan have gotten, this is definitely the biggest one I can remember happening around here.

I've read about the earthquake. Several buildings in Washington and New York evacuated and the cathedral in Washington has some damage to the building.
