It's not as bad as I might make it sound...but I think it's the mod's duty to be as clear as possible with the players, to avoid unnecessary complications and to make the game not depending on luck or outguessing the mod. That's why I don't like 50% abilities, that's why I think it was pointless to restrict the daytalk for the Mafia, that's why I think you should have simply told Thomas that his self-protection ability was 1-shot.
If you can motivate these things with flavor, then OK, but if you write your own flavor it's usually best to just adjust the flavor to the game rather than the other way around. In fact, that's always the best.
yeah well, the flavor fits perfectly.. meh, I dunno, I wanted to make a confusing game for everybody, that's why I made all the chances(btw, both mafia kills went through! thomas saved himself) and hidden mechanics and stuff...
true.
That was mainly the benefit of town, you see.
the more the game goes on - the more silver's role comes to place. if scum miss and miss and miss, they're practically doomed.
I can reveal the setup to you if you'd like in a pm..
maybe
with you alive, scum and town have equal chances to win I think, and you less obviously, but I'm not sure if the pros of your role would have been enough ><
The pros of not hitting every kill, not having any immunity to cop investigations or mafia kills or any other ability at all until the dices roll my way, which they evidently didn't even if I didn't get killed...in a game with at least one Doc (that also has self-protection, making it risky to shoot him at night as well!), one cop, and la la la. I'm bitter. =p
...you realize you just accused five people of having scum motives? A better question is why are you so fixated on shavey when there are important things happening? I've still taken note of shavey's hammer, but what more do you expect out of it? Shavey is pulling a flash, so I'm more worried about the other things that are (and are not) going on. For instance, darvince self voting when its unlikely that we have two friendly roles in one game.
So that isn't me explaining. And when did I say the game was boring? Moreover, how do you know what might have happened at night? Here you are saying that you think jorster is town, meaning you believe his doctor claim, and yet when he says he protected thomas, you don't believe that? Yes, I love inconsistency!
"I don't have a satisfactory answer to X, but here's some deflection, what's your reply to Y?"
Scum 101. Thomas has Snipereborn as his strongest town read, or at least had during Night 2...I'm wondering if he'll see this.
And really, the amount of people taking the selfvote (and IMMEDIATE unvote - it's done the same minute, no posts in between!) of Darvince seriously is frightening.
flash needs+1 to lynch, and if thomas gets lynched today(only today) then eh, flavor flavor flavor, "Eventually everybody decides to kill Chansey; but Chansey is suddenly super awesome and manages to run away and avoid the lynch" (and no flip happens, game goes to night).
Silver flips town cop (alakazam)
flash flips town innocent (Togepi)
Jorster scum Ditto
Sniper scum Ditto
Jellsprout scum Ditto
Soccerboy Mason Nidoking
Darvince Mason Nidoqueen
Shavey VT Lt. Surge
Harumbai VT prof. Oak
Yuggy VT Nurse Joy
But seriously, my reads were 100% perfect during day 1. I nailed the complete scumteam, and only swapped out 1111Jorster1111 for 1111Darvince1111 because he claimed 2-shot Doc. I'm sad that I wasn't town and lived this game...Curse you Thomas for not protecting me!
Btw, general tips to Jorster - when attacking someone with the intention of voting, if you know that you're going to end up switching your vote, START with doing the vote-switching. When you do it like in your attack vs. FlashMarsh, it very much looks like an after-construction. This goes for all alignments.
If you can show me someone really scummy, then by all means, do so.
DUDE.
"OK, I am completely lost. I have no idea who I think is scummy. Hey, you over there, do my work for me, and please choose a townie that's scummy and not an actual scum!"
NEVER let others do the analysis for you. It's bad town at best and scum at worst.
But, yeah. I'm surprised that Jorster is holding his own still. We'll see what happens - there's a lot of momentum against him right now, but no votes.
I do have to say that Jorster has improved significantly with time. His play isn't perfect, but it's certainly better than in previous games, even previous days in this game.
