I removed the image above which displayed the status of the server because it wasn't very accurate. It's better to just open the server map to see who's online rather than relying on that image.

Yay!
The new shift-click on appliances feature, the fireworks, and the 3-D items will certainly make it nicer! Gonna try to make a firework show over a lake on the 1st, if possible.

I think the biggest problem, bigger than all these random glitches, bugs, and annoyances, is that nobody is ever on. Nobody is ever on because something happens that means that people have very little free time, such as finals, comes along and makes it so that no one is on the server for awhile. Now, quite a few of us will only go on when others are on, such as Jazz, Kooler, Yuggy, and usually krotomo, all of which would be considered "active" on this server. This is the other part of the problem.
Nobody is ever on, so nobody comes on, so nobody is ever on, causing a negative feedback that makes the server more and more inactive over time. Unlike this forum, there is no reasonable influx of new, active members. The only ones for nearly a year are atvelonis and Wully, and Wully isn't that active. Also, here at the Interguild we're not as tethered to the other people in this community. This brings us to the server of that forum, Blacraft.
Blacraft was active for a while because it was new. However, after a while its activity died down and it was considered to be taken down because no one was ever on. Then, a new member came with great interest in Minecraft and the activity ramped up bit by bit until recently where it's begun to go down a little bit. Unlike Interserver, this server has recovered from periods of inactivity and is back to a steady amount of people on each day. As a great point, this is its latest activity graph which clearly shows that it is much more active and people actually play it.
Interserver's graph would look like a flat line, which is definitely not what it should be. Especially since we're now paying nearly twenty dollars a month for the server, more than double the cost of the last server. What also doesn't help is that Livio took down the little graph like what I linked above. This is making laz(ier) people, which constitutes almost everyone at this forum, not able to know if anyone is on right away. Some people might not go on the server even if someone else is on just because we don't check the map to see if anyone's on.
In summary: Check the map to see if anyone's on and go on the server if you want to go on, even if no one else is on.
"Time is a circuit, not a line; cybernetics instantiates templexity."
I got rid of the image because it would display the server as being empty even though there were people online, or it would display it as being down even though it was up.
But I don't understand why people only want to play when others are online. I always thought the reason why Minecraft was such a great multiplayer game was because you didn't have to be online at the same time in order to enjoy each other's creations and stuff.
I think another part of the problem is that we don't post enough projects onto the level database.
