Contact Livio (livio@interguild.org) or Bmw (bmwssu@gmail.com) or both.
We already have experienced 128 block high columns serving no greater purpose, and now we have one close to the portal that's...I don't know, 255 blocks high? It looks incredibly ugly. No noteworthy buildings that I know of NEED to be higher than that.
Why are people making those columns, and why isn't anyone bothering to tear them down?

For me, the only lag I get is when I move the mouse, the game lags insanely. It takes forever to turn 15 degrees.
sounds like it's your computer's that slow, not the server. I hope you're running the game with the lowest graphic settings.
Oh, I always run Minecraft on the highest, laggiest possible settings. It only lags like that when my computer needs a restart or something. Maybe I should take FlashMarsh's advice and install Optifine.

As a kid I always thought tennisballs looked delicious and I liked biting them. I still remember the feel of the fuzz on my teeth and tongue.
With that tower gone, it looks like I'm going to have to get my skydiving rush elsewhere. It's fun jumping off the top with a ton of valuable items in your inventory and seeing if you can grab the ladder before you die. Maybe someone should make a better-looking sky-diving place that isn't an eyesore. You can even have it lead into a chasm so that it doesn't have to go so high.

but for real this time, i have an account ready to go, just haven't downloaded minecraft yet.
I reccommend starting off with singleplayer, it can be simpler to do anything without borders, or other players' territories. And remember, unlike pretty much everything, sand has physics!

Honestly, I doubt that getting really good at Minecraft without help is easily feasable. I definitely understand you not wanting help, but some things in the game can be hard to understand past the basics, such as redstone, the electricity in the game.
But yeah, it probably would be more interesting to learn how to get good at the game by yourself, then if you want to delve deeper in game mechanics and exploiting glitches, you might want some help in some way or form.
