Ok, so do we kill someone every "day"?

During the day, there's a lynch vote, where the town is trying to kill one of you (though they could just as easily vote to kill one of themselves) -- you guys have to make sure you covers aren't blown.

At night, you will collectively decide on somebody to kill.

So we can pretend to be part of the town, then at night, we go for the kill? Sounds perfect! =D

Wait so do we "vote" on someone in the commoners forum?

When people have suspicions or whatever, they'll post Vote: Livio (for example). When a majority of the town (you guys are part of the town too, though you're not aligned with them -- I wonder if that is a source of confusion?) has voted for the same person, that person dies. You guys will vote too, as you see fit (and you win once you control the majority of the lynch vote, since when that happens, you would be able to easily pick off the town one at a time).

You basically will want to blend in with the rest of the town, but at the same time, you don't want to actually get lynched, so to behave like the rest of the town and to lead them to not end up lynching any of you, is a delicate balancing act. You also don't want to be seen as too closely associated with one another, so that, if one of your covers do get blown, the rest of you won't be immediately implicated as well. At the same time, it becomes obvious if you distance yourselves too much. Like I said, delicate balancing act.

"Can" is the wrong word, here. You "will" pretend to be part of the town -- it's not an option. If you come and say "hey guys I'm mafia" then they'll lynch you and you'll lose.

When it comes time for the mafia to make the mafia kill, you will post here, in your secret forum. In here, you discuss who you want to kill (as well as what other actions you should take that night) and once you've come to a decision, you'll post what actions you'd like to take in the "Official Mafia Night Actions" thread. It is currently the responsibility of Harumbai (he better show up, already...) to make that post, but if he doesn't or if he can't, one of the two of you will have to make that post instead. I suggest that you share with each other (lol, but don't tell the town, obviously) what your characters and your abilities are, so you can make more informed decisions when it comes time to decide what night actions to take.

If you have any more questions about how the game works, I'll be happy to answer them, but I would prefer not to go too much farther with advice about how to play the game -- that's up to you guys. I'm supposed to be impartial, here, geez!

Lol since soccer replied, once these forums become public, nobody would know what he was talking about. So the post stays, sorry.

I'll say this one last time, you still haven't posted what your abilities are. This isn't like the town forum, where if they share their roles, then the mafia will know who to kill. You need to know what each others role are so you can decide on your night actions.

OK. I'm Quirvy. I can transform into a wolf-like beast a maximum of two times. If I devour someone as a beast, only I and I alone will know that person's role, and no trace of the person will be left. Also, I can suspend a town member, preventing their night actions just for that night only.

Lol, pretty much. There's a few things I wanna add. >_>

You transform into when you're the one performing the mafia's night kill, and you can't both kill and suspend on the same night. Also, you can't kill the night after you do a transformation (this is the "Janitor" role in that huge list of roles I posted). If anybody's wondering about the whole "transformation" thing and where that comes from, I suggest you reread the "Only Talk in Smilies" topic.

Also, only you will find out what that person's role is, but there's no reason you wouldn't share that with the rest of the mafia. It's key that you share everything you know so you can all make informed decisions, right?

I am the Godfather/ leader of the Mafia. I am Dando52, MAFIA but when investigated I will show up as Dando, TOWN. On a night when we choose not to kill someone I can use my ability of silencer to stop a person from sating more than 3 things, they can still vote however so this ability seems quite useless and maybe we should just kill as many people as possible...

You, collectively, as the mafia, can only kill one person each night. One of you will be selected to make the kill by "Dando52". The others will presumably use some other action. You will all discuss who will make the kill (if you really want, you can choose not to make a kill) and what actions the others will perform (or not, again, your choice whether or not you use your night actions) and "Dando52", who has the final say, will post the results of your discussions in the Official Night Actions topic.

It's not on nights when WE choose not to kill somebody that you can silence someone, Harumbai, it's only on nights when you, "Dando52" are not the member of the mafia that will be doing the kill. Also, you forgot to mention that you are also immune to night kills. That is, if someone somehow manages to target you for a kill, the kill will fail. You will have to be lynched in order to be eliminated.

So does everything make a little more sense now?

Okay, so between us we can do two abilities and a kill each night, provided we don't run out of uses...

He's also the hitman. When he kills, he doesn't have to worry about the usual defenses like roleblockers, doctors, armours, etc. It stops working after he successfully breaks through two defenses.

His detective ability, which he can use if he's not killing that night, learns him the players character name and the name of their ability.

Finally, if H dies, Silver becomes the GodFather (or GodMother -- the gender is classified), and if she dies, obviously it defers to soccerboy. Each night, anybody alive can post the night actions, but I will only use the actions posted by the highest-ranking member, OK?
