You've probably noticed the mods messing around with the censor system these past few months, but apparently last Friday was "the end of the Mod-Power Abuse era" as quirvy put it. So you won't see the mods messing with the censors or any other part of the site too much anymore, but in all that some cool censors were made that we kept and here they are:

TEXT CENSORS
You know how you can't use this: because it's used too often as a way to end many censors. Well, you could just use this:
but if you have trouble remembering ampersand-pound-125-semicolon, then you could always use this new censor:
Epic Win/Fail
Whenever you type the following words in all-caps: "epic", "win", "fail"; the text comes out larger and in bold:
EPIC,
WIN,
FAIL
Approve/Reject/Neutral
Type in those words in all-caps to get:
APPROVE,
REJECT,
NEUTRAL
Useful for Aeon discussions
Removed Text
This censor creates a blacked-out effect as if it was censored out. Realize that you can still read the text if you highlight it.

text text
Hidden Text
This censor makes your text have the same color as the background so that it's hidden. For example:
Code:
there is some :hide:hidden} text here
That comes out as: there is some
hidden text here.
You can read the text if you highlight it, and it doesn't work too well in the chatbox.
Fuchsia-Green Text text :fush:text text
Title Text
I use this censor a lot mainly in news posts. It sets certain styles to text to make it look like a header or something.
and you'll get:
Title Text
Big Text
Create really big text with:
big text
Even Bigger Text
Quirvy made this censor because he was in need of even bigger text:
Code:
:reallyf-ingbig:even bigger text}
Super Small Text Code:
:reallyf-ingsmall:really small text}
super small text
Marquees
Create a marquee, which makes whatever's inside it move back and forth.
Hyperlinks
Here's an HTML explanation of how this one works: Code:
:url1: being equivalent to: <a href="http://
:url2: being equivalent to: " target="_top">
:url3: being equivalent to: </a>
so when you put something like this together: Code:
:url1:google.com:url2:click here:url3: to go to google!
You get: click here to go to google!
Just remember to never include the "http://" part of the URL or it will interfere with the automatic URL link feature of the forums.
That is now all outdated. Instead, you can now simply use the [ url= [link] ] text [ /url ] BBcode to make links.
Strikethrough
This censor puts a line through your post, or stikethrough.
example text
Subscript and Superscript
Superscript and
subscript have both been added as censors. To use them:
Code:
[sup]Superscript[/sup] and [sub]subscript[/b] have both been added as censors.
SMILEY CENSORS
Standard Die Smiley
Mini Die Smiley
Huge Die Smiley
(set at 100% width, so it's useful to for when posting in the chatbox [but could mess up in IE])
The 96 Smiley / Fowl Play Smiley
Also set at 100% width
The DEATH Smiley
The Sever Smiley
The Wall Smiley
The Megagun Smiley
The Baby Smiley
Quirvy made this for whenever I give an excuse for not fixing or working on something.
Breaking news: This censor was actually deleted a while ago. Wanna complain about it? :
The Broken Link Smiley
WTF Smiley
Serious-Business Smiley
Mini Serious-Business Smiley
NOOO!! Smiley
Mini NOOO!! Smiley
OTHER CENSORS
FakeRate Censor
This censor looks exactly the same as when you post ratings for levels.
text So you could replace "text" with an actual rating, such as "9.9/10" to get:
9.9/10
This is actually what the staff uses to moderate unreasonable ratings. To protect the context of posts, they delete the ratings and replace them with FakeRates.
Fake Difficulty Rates
This one mimics the level difficulty rates. We actually have a couple of these censors:
The above will yield this:
You can also make your own fake difficulty ratings with the following:
Code:
:fdr1: [width of the bar in percentage] :fdr2: [color for the bar] :fdr3: [text under the bar] :fdr4:
For example, consider the following:
Code:
:fdr1:80:fdr2:#CC0000:fdr3:4.5/5 — Hard:fdr4:
That will come out as this:
You can also type in the name of a standard color in the color field, such as "blue". And if you want to know the codes for the colors used in the standard difficulty ratings, here they are:
Very Easy: #99ffcc
Easy: #009900
Normal: #0033aa
Challenging: #ff6600
Hard: #CC0000
Evil: #660000
Similar to the fake level rates, this is also what mods use to delete unfair ratings.
Fake Video Rates
Unlike the previous censors, you can't be very flexible with this. We only have zero stars and five stars:
Embed Videos
This is very useful for blogs: embed any archive video into your post with the following format
gives you this:
The 541 is the id number of the video. You can find the id number at the end of the URL of its archive page:
http://www.interguild.org/videos/viewvid.php?vid=541 <--
-------------------------------------------------------------
So that's it. these are the current official censors that we have. We've been using them all this time and now you too can have the knowledge to use them. I have a feeling that this topic will be filled with spam of people testing the censors, but that's ok.
Just don't make multiple posts. You can just edit your old posts multiple times if all you're going to do is try these out. Violators will receive bad karma. thank you.
Also please don't spam these censors throughout the site especially because they can make a page load very slow...
