so is there anything else we need to decide on this?

anyway I have a slightly new idea: I think we should start on July 4th and have the final deadline on August 1st (the 5th week). On July 4th, 11th, and 18th, we'll release 4 new rounds of the olympics. Two weeks after the final rounds are released (Aug 1st), the Olympics will end, and all entries will be due, and judging will begin. But the Aug 1st date should be subject to change, so that if it turns out to be not enough time, we might be able to extend it to another week or something.

sound good?

and I think the categories should be released in the following order:
Quote:

July 4th- First Day
-freestyle HATPC Large levels (larger than 60x60)
-freestyle HATPC Small levels (smaller than 30x30)
-freestyle N levels
-Best Freestyle Video

July 11
-Best DDA/Auto Level + Line Rider
-Speed levels
-freestyle Shift levels
-Best Walkthrough Video

July 18
-Puzzle levels
-freestyle Free Rider levels (no automatic tracks)
-freestyle Mario Flash levels
-freestyle for all other Platformer games

July 25
//nothing new

Aug 1st- Last Day
//final due date, but subject to extension if necessary
This order is half random and half planning. I tried to balance the more interesting rounds with the least interesting, and I also prioritized the potentially more popular and also the most time consuming ones to start earlier. And I think both HATPC ones should start on the same day in order to avoid confusion.

I don't think we should allow old levels, but maybe we should allow multiple entries from different games?

Either don't allow old levels, or only allow levels from 2009.

I saw we don't allow them so that we could actually use this time to make new levels

nah, don't allow old levels. it'lll make the comp half full already, and some caves willl already have won. our old caves are very awsome, each and every one of us has had awsome caves all along, and making new ones, better, is hard. it's not possible to have a speed category when B&M is in =\

Ah well, then i'll have to make new caves when it starts. I was planning to submit 3 of my old caves, runalthon, swimalthon, and walkathon. They are from my series, 'The olympics'
