This topic is mainly for the discussion of games without user-created content, in other words, games not featured here.

I am a fan of the Super Smash Bros. series, as you might know. Recently, I found this fan-created game for PC's: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=152960
Basically, it's like a pretty basic version of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, without many advanced techniques as of now, and no items. The gameplay is slightly influented by the Street Fighter series, with a Final Smash (an extra strong attack) getting available after dealing a certain amount of damage.

I downloaded it recently and it is very fun. It has (currently) no online support, but you can play two players on the same computer. The controls might take a while to get used to, but it is worth it.

I have just started playing Dwarf Fortress. It is an ASCII based game where you micro-manage your own dwarf population and dig out your own fortress and stuff. It is supposed to be incredibly difficult to learn, but incredibly addicting. And it's free.

They need a better looking homepage. My eyes can't handle the green.

www.nitrome.com = Awesome games.

I'm slightly ashamed that I do own a Runescape account, lately the updates have been crap, so I haven't been on recently, but I still do play it from time to time.

Also if you've heard, on other threads, I'm a minesweeper fan.

When it comes to other-bodily consoles: Super Monkey Ball, Star Wars Battlefront and Burnout Paradise.

COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.

Yaya, I recently downloaded an "official" Minesweeper version from here: http://www.minesweeper.info/ranking/rules.html Now I have loads of statistics and five times as many records to beat.

Thank you for that link. I got the testers build of Windows 7 and that didn't come with Minesweeper or any of the other games. But now I've got Minesweeper again!

And I think I'm getting addicted to Dwarf Fortress. It is like a Tycoon game, but much deeper. I suggest you to get it from here: http://afteractionreporter.com/2009/02/09/the-complete-and-utter-newby-tutorial-for-dwarf-fortress-part-1-wtf/
It has a download to the previous build, along with a tileset to it much easier to play.

New Humble Bundle. Best one yet- Go get it now.

Limbo, Bastion and Amnesia I know are awesome, and I've also heard good things about Pychonauts.

That's probably the longest time distance between post I've ever seen...

And why does that matter if you have something to add? I wanted to post something, so I did it instead of creating a new and pointless thread.

That's because imstead of being silent and being a badass by pressing the -Karma button, I shout and moan in people's faces about things.

For the record, Flash wasn't necroposting, and Jorster, your observation is wrong, because you posted in this topic a few days ago, which was bumped by Isa, with a longer time between posts.

Huh. More badasses pressing their little buttons on my post.

Anyway, I started Limbo. I really like the Art Style more than anything, though the gameplay is pretty good too.

for the record, there are still 4 games pending to be added to the Database. seems like none of the mods has the time and motivation to start looking at them, deciding if they are relevant, accepting and the worst of all, building a gamepage for it here.

The first one was submitted in December 2011

I don't want to start another topic, so I guess I'll post this here.

For a while now, we've been discussing having events on Team Fortress 2. I was thinking that we could perhaps find a server to play  on together, maybe on the day before Halloween (30th October). I think we should probably try and organise this a bit in advance, and also we need to find a server to play, a convenient time to play (7pm GMT seems good?). It would also be good to see how many people are actually interested.
