We are now at the fourth attempt. If I get interrupted while writing this, I'm just gonna click the submit button no matter where I'm at. But this is also kind of embarrassing because one of the things in my to-do list is to "make better, on-time weekly updates". First of all, it's been more than two weeks since our last competition. It seems that we just don't have any good ideas for a comp, and I posted in last week's update how I couldn't find that comp-idea topic that jebby started. Earlier today, I finally found that topic (and here it is!) by going into the database and looking at jebby's most recently-made topics, but who would've guessed that it was in the HATPC Comps and Guides board? Judging for the Collaborative Levels comp ended on Sunday night, and I was about to release the results when I figured that it would be better if one of the judges released it instead. Jazz and Dando were the only judges online, so I began asking Dando to write the news post. Even Captain Obvious agreed, saying that "Dando making a news post would be superawesome!" However, after she refused, I decided to just write the post myself, but when I posted it, Dando had just finished saying that she would go ahead and write it. I promptly deleted my post, claiming that it never existed. Dando took an unusually long amount of time to write the post, and she said something about how she "shouldn't write news posts after watching a 1950s detective movie marathon on TV." Dando then released the Collaboration Competition Results, and it received wide praise for being super awesome. As Dando was taking her time writing that post, I started writing the weekly update (first attempt!), but then I remembered that I wanted to make a new version of my To-Do List. But instead of posting it in the Staff Forum like I usually do, I got the inspiring idea of making it a news post, and that was much more interesting to make than the weekly update. It came out to be ridiculously huge, but I'm already going through it pretty quickly. Yesterday, Isa posted a news post about Custom Awards. It's basically about how the staff is going to use its new power to give out custom awards for achievement-style accomplishments. There are a lot of great suggestions for custom awards so far. The staff also used this chance to launch a new forum game where the goal is to find a message hidden throughout the site that reads "Interbot Shos claims that there's an annoying ad that's been coming up and playing ugly music. I haven't seen or heard it yet. Last Tuesday, a suspicious new member joined called Daniel, who claimed to be the friend of a_neezle_a's cousin (neezles was banned for a month last week). Even though the premise sounded suspicious, we kinda bought into it at first because the style of Daniel's posts were more sophisticated to the point that we thought Neezle's just wasn't capable of it. We soon came to our senses and realized that we underestimated Neezles. Evidence that helped convince us includes: the fact that Daniel's posts always came from one of Neezle's IPs, Daniel spent way too much time online which is odd for new members, and the fact that his posts began to sound more like neezles after a while. It took us quite a while to convict Daniel because we were very afraid of scaring away a potentially new member, so we acted cautiously. Lol, in fact we still hold onto the <1% probability that Daniel might be a legitimate guy so the only action we took so far is sent him a PM telling him to stop posting from neezle's IP because of her 30-day suspension. Recently, my Aeon Update thread has been overshadowed by my new To-Do List thread. What I mean is that I seem to be posting my Aeon updates in the To-Do list thread now. And if you been following any of them, a great amount of progress is being made in Aeon. I actually found myself at a loss for what to work on now that I've fixed all the glitches and finished reorganizing the code. I attempted to try out that new idea to save load times, but I couldn't get it to work, so I'm leaving that to another day because I really have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to that. So right now, I'm taking the first strides into the daunting task of making a Level Editor. I almost started working on new tiles, but I would rather work on this.
