First of all, hello everyone. It has been a while, but I think I may or may not have something that could peak your interests.

A year or two ago Dekudude (I believe) introduced us to something called Gamemaker. He frequently assisted me as I gradually tried to figure out the program. I have started and dropped many projects since then because I constantly learn new things that allow me to expand on better, more intriguing ideas. I think I have finally caught on to something good, although I feel that I still am far from having it completed.

This game, as of yet it has no name, is a puzzle based game that contains 19 unique pieces that mostly consist of arrows, bombs, and vortexes. There are a few more puzzle pieces that I plan on incorporating into the game. Basically, the goal of the game is to set off the right arrows at the right time in order to unlock all boxes containing gold. The arrows and bombs follow the same concept as those that are in HATPC in the sense that arrows fly in a straight direction and bombs trigger all boxes in a 3x3 radius.

In order to set off or trigger a box, you must click on it, and the box must be made of wood not steel. You get a set amount of clicks each level and you have to figure out how to create a chain reaction that will unlock all gold crates. Eventually, other concepts are introduced such as the ability to move wooden crates around the board by right clicking on them.

I was under the assumption that most of you would be the ones to appreciate a game such as this, so I decided to get some feedback. I have a picture of a nonexistent level (it is not really level 2 as the picture would have you believe) that depicts my roughly drawn animations of my current arrows, bombs, and vortexes. You can also see that the menu is unfinished. But anyways, here you go:
Spoiler:

If anyone is interested, I can create a sort of beta version to get more specific feedback on the idea. Thanks!

The graphics could have a little more help.

It's good to be back.

I understand. It's the concept that I'm going for, since I can't make a quality sprite for the life of me.

I'm probably going to buy this program soon. Is it worth the money?

Jorster - I only have the free version, currently and I have been able to do SO much with it. I have been considering purchasing the standard version for sometime now, but have never gathered up the money to actually do so.

And thanks Isa, I'll do my best to scrap up a quick beta version of 10 levels or so to get some actual feedback. In the mean time, here are two existing levels. The first one mainly features bombs. And the second is the first level that will introduce movable wooden crates.

Consider using some tiles from Aeon as placeholders - no offense, but they look better than your current ones...

It might also be because the screen was stretched out in order to use full screen when I took those screenshots. I changed it to be normal size by putting it in a smaller window and I believe that it looks slightly better. But then again, I have very low standards for graphics.

What's with the red blob and the green blob? What's the use of it?

The blobs (which I plan on turning into red and green arrows, they are currently blobs because I used to have rocks/boulders in place of what the arrows are now) are used to speed up or slow down the arrows once released from their boxes.

I can possibly put together a quick beta today so that those who are interested can understand the game better and give me suggestions as to what I could add or completely take out of the game.
