actually I thought that Brawl match was cool. not boring at all. Maybe it's because I never got used to watching those high-speed melee matches.

2 minutes for one KO? That's pretty boring.

I think it makes it much more exciting.

I personally prefer either the high-paced action of Melee or the 0%-death combos of 64. Brawl simply has no appeal to me.
The only fun thing about Brawl is going online and spamming mortar slides for two minutes, or something like that.
I also had the funniest online match today. I played as the pink Captain Falcon on Eldin Bridge. For the first ten or so seconds I kept spamming his "Show ya moves" taunt until this Mario player got annoyed and started going after me. I started rolling around, jabbing occasionally, throwing off jumping Falcon Punches and taunting whenever I had the chance. After the bridge got bombed, I even did a ledgehopped 360 Falcon Punch onto the stage. In the end I won with two epically placed Falcon Punches.

There was this huge Melee tournament last weekend. Every single major pro was there.
In the end, Mang0 (a Jiggly main with Falcon/Fox/Falco as seconds) won the finals against Mew2King (a Sheik main with Marth/Fox as seconds). DaShlzWiz (Falco main, Fox second) got third and PC Chris (Fox main, Peach second) got fourth. The videos should be up sometime during the next few days and they should be pretty good.

Why didn't M2K pick Marth against Purin?

Also, wasn't M2K that guy who played M2 in serious tournaments, never won anything, gave up M2 and picked Marth in a tournament only to proceed to win it instantly?

No. M2K only picked that name because Mewtwo is his favorite Pokémon. He has been playing Fox/Sheik/Marth ever since he got into tournaments.
Taj is a Mewtwo player who still plays Mewtwo and rapes pretty much anyone that isn't in the top 25. He recently played against Forward, one of the best Falco players, and Taj raped him pretty bad.

Fox is the best option against Jiggly. You can laser camp against Jiggly's spacing and with his Usmash and Uair, Fox can easily kill Jiggly off the ceiling. Marth has to rely on either horizontal kills, which Jiggly pretty much always recovers from, or a Ken combo in Dair, which Jiggly can easily get out of thanks to her floatiness.

I thought Marth was a hard counter to Jiggly due to the fact that his attacks all outrange Jigglys by miles, which makes it hard for her to even come close?

I have yet to realize why Mewtwo is so good. He got some good throws I guess, but hey, if I want powerful throws I pick Ness, or if I want to chain throw I can pick Ice Climbers.

Mewtwo isn't good at all, that's the point. Taj's mindgames are amazing, making it possible for him to set up combos or tech-chases.
If you want to play Mewtwo, Double Jump Cancels are the key.

Jiggly is amazing aerial movement and her aerials have pretty nice range. If the Jiggly spaces correctly, it is never safe for Marth to attack, as Jiggly will be able to move in during the ending lag of the attack and punish by either poking, setting up a Wall of Pain or setting up a combo into Rest.
And as I said before, Marth has major problems killing Jiggly. Marth's killing potential mostly comes from his edgeguarding. But Jigglypuff is impossible to edgeguard, making the match-up very difficult.

But I agree that Marth is one of the most difficult match-ups for Jiggly. I personally main Jiggly, but I've picked Falcon and Sheik as seconds purely for countering Marth.

That is a very extreme case. There are some matches like those, there are high paced matches, but still most matches are projectile spamming matches.

I prefer Melee too. I prefer SSB64 over Brawl too.
