evan's case was a long, long time ago. I hate name changes - even so far I don't remember evan's snowman. guyguy's request has been approved, that's enough of a change in our community for the next while IMO. typho really doesn't count, because the change was minimal, it's like dando52->dando, nobody notices stuff like that. but flashmarch, that's very noticable, and now whenever I'll see it I'l recall oh right, that's guyguy. if we have two major changes, I'm totally not going to be able to follow lol. I will have the staff discuss this tho.  | |

lol at shos thinking that we don't let people change names because someone else has recently changed their name. That's not how it works, we deny them if they individually want to change their name too much. Don't get me wrong, though, I think the legit name changes are kind of annoying. you started with thomas, and ended with thomas, just like thomas in IC, so whenever the changes were done, I did not notice them lol. If you ever posted in one of the other names, I probably just thought it was someone else. | |

Here are my opinions on the recent name changes: guyguyxtreme --> FlashMarsh Cedric_09_ --> Housefly Both of you are pretty active people and have left a kind of legacy on the Interguild. Countless old posts refer you by your original names and you've even engraved those names in some of your caves. Do you really think it's worth cutting off that legacy and generating confusion just for a new username? And these new names really don't make any sense to me, so I don't see why they're so appealing.  I know I've changed my name pretty radically too, but I was changing my name to what it was in real life (not counting the time Quirvy changed it to L). I even approved of when jazz changed his name to rosabellis because that's the username that he uses everywhere else on the internet. Right now, it looks like you guys are just changing your name for the heck of it. Typho56 --> Typho KoolerTheFirst --> Kooler Now these, I'm okay with, since they don't cause any confusion or problems. This is what the name changing service was originally made for. | |

Dekudude has changed his name to Xyteran. Here's the PM explaining his reasons why: 'Dekudude' said: Though I have had this username for countless years, I believe it is time for me to change it. I've outgrown the juvenile nature of it, so I want something that will be able to last me for a long time. If it's cool with you, I'd like to change it to "Xyteran" without the quotes, as that is the name of my unofficial company that may or may not one day be canon. Thanks! | |
