My Decision for Best Free Rider 2 Level:
1) Into the Jetstream - Livio
2) Simple Start - krotomo
3) Topsy Turvy - Bmwsu
The real challenge here was to pick who got last place. Eventually I chose simple start for second because at least that looks like it's possible. | | Livio |

Heh, you know what? I'll probably come in here and rate all the sections in one big post, but right now, I'm not in an Internet kinda mood. I've been trying to leave the laptop alone as much as I can the last few days. | | Livio |

I just got back from nearly a week of drinking, partying and random nerd stuff. And little sleeping. I am a bit too hung over to judge this right now.

And I love it. Poor Americans, you can't do this till you're 21.
Another thing I'd like to add to that list is playing D&D till 5 AM with a student society that call themselves the Hobos. And getting up early next day again for breakfast where you drink a fruit mix juice as fast as you can while standing on one leg.

I'm going on holiday in a bit today, but you have my word that I'll judge the remains of the categories on the next weekend. | | jellsprout |

DDA:
1) Stay Still (HATPC) - canadianstickdeath - this one is too good.
2) Slackin' in Free rider 2 (Free Rider 2) - Ck - could have been better but is still good.
3) Can't touch this (N) - Isa - It's nice how the enemies ignore you, but it is too short.
4) Krotomo's Slackin' (HATPC) - krotomo - nothing too epic.

FR2:
1) Into the Jetstream - Accel
2) Simple Start - krotomo
3) Topsy Turvy - Bmwsu
I can't get anywhere in Bmwsu and Kro's is just plain.

All that's left now are the HatPC categories. I am not looking forward to this, this is going to take a long time.

The large hatpc levels is hard to judge, so let's discuss it:
I've played Uprising to the end and it was really cool. good traps, great overall look to it, nice backtracking, but I it really has a lot of bad things pulling it down like the evil water swimming at the bottom of the cave and some traps are bad/boring/just there, such as the ladder trap. but I still enjoyed the cave a lot, and gave it a solid 9.0 rating.
As for Zichaci, I remember giving that a really high rating. Fun traps, a really awesome puzzle (at least I thought so) on the bottom right corner, easy to make checkpoints in (yes this is a plus ), and overall pretty good design.
Zero G III.. I really liked this cave actually. I really like having to figure out how to use the zero G glitch to figure out what you need to in order to solve the puzzles. You may need to experiment, but that's the interesting and fun part. Definitely the best in the series so far.
So from these three caves alone, which is the best? Maybe zero G III would be the lowest because it was bordering on hard/evil in terms of figuring out the puzzle for most people. Uprising is good but it has many parts holding it back. And Zichaci is great, but much simpler than the others. | | Livio |

Another comparison for the large HATPC levels:
Triathlon vs. HATPC Hardcore
which is better? or which is worse? and because these levels are so ridiculously hard for most normal people, how far should that drag them down, despite having some crazy design? And how will we decipher their design? Map generator won't cut it....
well it looks like these might not do so good b/c they are practically unplayable (except for the brief distance I managed to get in them [first-second traps]). I haven't looked at kro's level much yet | | Livio |

just tried kro's level to a reasonable distance and it looks deserving of it's current average rating of a 7.8. good level, but not great. It may just be put into last place unless you guys want to seriously penalize shos and ck for difficulty. Or if HATPC Hardcore doesn't have as good design as I think (that video he posted was just crazy, though. ) | | Livio |

DDA:
1. Slacking in Free Rider 2 - Really good. Should win hands down.
2. Can't touch this - this is fresh and new! Never seen before!
3. Stay Still - Nothing new except for the slow parts, pretty cool.
4. Krotomo's Slackin - Nothing new at all. | | Isa |

edited front page. So what are we gonna do for low-entry categories, like FR2? are we gonna give everyone a trophy? or just give awards to whoever we think deserves them? Or should we just give only one award per category? | | Isa |

Let's make this quick. And yes, I did spend a lot of time playing and comparing each level. Haven't judged the puzzles yet because I'm absolutely hopeless at them, hence I need some time playing around with them.
Free Rider 2
Into the Jetstream: 3 points
Simple Start: 2 points
Topsy Turvy: 1 point
Large HATPC
Zichaci: 6 points (gorgeous design; easy and fun to play with a well-timed set of traps)
Zero G III: 5 points (very unique, but too difficult to get the top spot)
HATPC Hardcore: 4 points (incredible design, but obviously too difficult for any sane person)
Triathlon: 3 points (same as above, but not as visibly sophisticated)
Uprising: 2 points (annoying water parts, but otherwise decent design)
Critical Condition: 1 point (not a bad cave, but the competition was too good)
Speed levels
Queen of Spades: 7 points (overall, the best balance between difficult and good design)
My Friend Boulder: 6 points (the most playable cave, but not as well designed as QOS)
Florida: 5 points (far too difficult, but the traps are pretty epic)
Into the Jetstream: 4 points (probably my favourite FR2 level)
Great Greens: 3 points (average at the best of times, but still a fairly solid cave)
Rocky Road: 2 points (reasonably enjoyable, but doesn't win many points for design when compared against the rest)
Speed: 1 point (the start is annoyingly fiddly and the rest of the cave is nothing particularly amazing)
Puzzles to come. | | Livio |

Updated the front post.
I may as well stop being indecisive and pick my ranks already. Except I've decided to take difficulty into account when rating the overall quality of the level....
Large HATPC Levels:
Zichaci: 6 points
Zero G III: 5 points
Triathlon: 4 points
HATPC Hardcore: 3 points
Uprising: 2 points
Critical Condition: 1 points
All of these caves were pretty good. I wanted to put Triathlon and Hardcore lower, but then I'd feel guilty about not recognizing their crazy design. But I put Hardcore into 4th place because I though it had to be penalized for it's crazy evilness. it's also too bad that critical condition ended up last, b/c it wasn't all that bad. | | jellsprout |

Starting tomorrow my university will start and I don't think I will have enough time to judge. And to be honest, I'm not really in the mood for judging this either.
