it's a lot easier to click on, now that it's at the end.
I moved them around to make them look better now that Articles has been changed to Guides and Galleries to Levels. | | canadianstickdeath |

I think you may have forgotten the "departments" section of the side-bar, when you reordered those links... | | Quirvy |

I'm pretty sure that the dimensions are off by 1. Midnight IX is 55x55 in CSD's cavemaker. Add the terrain border, and it equals 58x57?

No, I'm talking about the dimensions that the galleries give us.

Oh. Wait... that means both the galleries' dimesions are messed up and csd's cavemaker! | | canadianstickdeath |

"Yeah. I typed in 51x52 in the cavemaker, I put the mouse over the last tile, and it sais 53x52"
First, it does NOT say 53x52, if you type in 51x52 (and if it does, I'd suggest checking your dimensions to make sure they are what you think there are), it'll say "(51, 50)". My grid is zero-based, so what you need to do is add one to find out what the dimensions are, but also, the dimensions on the properties panel go width and then height, but those tooltips to row and then column, so you also need to flip them around. | | Livio |

so it might be that it's counting the new line as a character?
but wait, when I test other levels, the width seems to be OK..... | | Livio |

if you see this glitch anywhere, just edit your level and click submit. I guess it was CSD's cavemaker and how it uses \r\n for new lines, while I only made the code look for \r because I was trying to fix a glitch wrongly that I came across of while I was adding the feature | | canadianstickdeath |

Can't you just remove any /r-and-/n's from the first line, and then calculate the width? | | Livio |

I just split the entire code at all new lines but with a limit of 6, so that the fifth entry is first line, and I just take the length of that fifth entry. and use the rest to calculate the height | | canadianstickdeath |

Um. Just, before doing anything, remove all \r's from the code? | | Livio |

lol I did; that's what led me to fix that glitch wrongly while I was adding that feature.... for some reason it just didn't seem to work...
and besides, it works now and it's not too complicated | | krotomo |

Though this is offtopic, maybe we should start making short interguild commercials and put them on youtube to get more members | | Isa |

Lol, could you show an example where another community has done the same thing? I'm not rejecting the idea, but it seems very far-fetched. | | Isa |

Also, I'm reviving this idea - creating a Facebook group where we inform about the Interguild. We're quite a few users on there already (7 at least, I think) and we could do some promotion on there with ease. It's much easier than on YouTube, I think. | | jellsprout |

About the Youtube thing, all the videos already redirect back to the Interguild. Specific Interguild commercials have even less chance of being watched, so I don't really see how useful it will be.

maybe we can add a little introduction of the interguild at the beginning of all/some of the videos we make showing a few short clips of some of the games and have a title interguild.org at the end of the introduction. | | jellsprout |

I don't think we have anybody willing to do something like that.
Out of all the staff members, only me, Isa, Accel and to certain extend CSD and Quirvy play and create stuff for several games. Me, Isa and Accel are all busy with random stuff around the site, CSD's internet connection is too crappy to do be able to upload anything like that and Quirvy doesn't make videos about anything that doesn't have a Roman number in it's title.
Out of all the other staff members, Dando only plays HatPC, Jebby doesn't play anything anymore and neither does Haily.
If we were to consider Shos as staff member, he only discusses stuff in the Staff Forum and co-writes some articles, but doesn't do anything moddy.

I think that you should be able to sort caves after how you rated them, not just how everyone else rated them. Kinda like the feature in the Cavelist, only better. | | Livio |

yeah I thought of that same thing while I was browsing the level database last night looking for caves to rate difficulty. I guess I'll call it "Your Favorites" and it just gets all the caves that you have rated in the past and orders them by Rate Descending.
I'll go add this now | | Isa |

I would like to see a Search Level function on every page. After all, the levels are what builds our site. | | Livio |

you know that gives me an interesting idea. What if we base this site completely around the level database?
Instead of presenting ourselves as a community (which isn't a very smart thing to do considering that we are a very, very small community), we could present ourselves as a Levels Database site where you can upload any level for any game you want. It would be even cooler if we had that directory idea, so we can also say that this site is the biggest collection of levels anywhere. The directory idea is also useful in helping us save face on the games that we cannot upload directly to the site, such as knytt levels, and also have more levels for less server space.
This could be really cool. Meanwhile, the site will still have all of the great community features to help us develop a large member base, along with other key features such as the competitions and the guides. In that case, we could redesign the top part of the layout to reflect this priority, by adding features such as a level search on every page, and maybe a "Jump to Game" section.
sounds like a good idea to me, and it would definitely help us advertise the site around a more concrete idea. | | jellsprout |

I've had an idea on how to make the More Topics>> button work. Could it be possible for that button to send you to a page with every topic regardless of board? Basically a single board where all the topics from all the boards you have access to are shown.
