[This is an entry in the Interguild Banner Competition]

What the title says - basically, this is a banner made of a screenshot from The Metal Movement, a black border that's been blurred, three short sentences and a mention of the Interguild.

It's a good first try, but I really did not like the typography you used. Not only did you use the dreaded Comic Sans, but you placed one in each corner, which is unfortunately one of the most uninteresting design patterns you could use. Also, each text element has the exact same settings as the others, so it's difficult to establish a sense of priority between each one. By this I mean: which text is most important? Which should I look at first?

I did however think the shadowing was interesting, since it kinda emphasizes the idea of it being a "cave", and it also helped make the text more legible.

I read everything as a usual text, so I go from left to right, top to bottom.

Also, I don't expect to win, but I needed to make something, lol.

As of now, Isa has the best entry.

yes, that's what I did at first, but it was a conscious decision I made after my subconscious had no where to go. Design is all about leading the viewer through a series of subtle decisions and effects.

You mean like when trying to locate the Submit Game button?
