We should probably lynch someone this day, or else it'll be like Days 4 and on of the last game. If no suspicions arises, Thomas should be default. We should also note if anyone has been online for a decent time after the flavor has been posted, but has not posted yet.

Seems like a plan. Although, I think if Thomas is trying to get himself lynched, he shouldn't be allowed to join the mafia games.

I doubt it. Thomas acted like this the previous game and Quirvy just loves bickering with Thomas. That said, I wouldn't mind Thomas getting lynched.

Anybody going to FoS yet? Not even to stir up activity?
I will probably not be making any FoS' this entire game, because I think they're kind of pointless. I mean, really what purpose do they serve? If you want to let someone know that they've got explaining to do, call them out. And I certainly wouldn't base my actual votes based on someone's FoS count. So it doesn't seem to serve a purpose for me.

But are the people who post the least, bigger suspects or the people who post the most? Because the people who post the most might have more to hide, so by posting more they are trying to cover themselves up? Is this a good theory, or wrong in every way?
wouldn't people with stuff to hide post less so as to reveal less?

everything said here is a swing and miss

This is more for activity than anything. I just think that making a suspicion over exclamation points is incredibly silly. I know it's the first day, but there must be better things to suspect people about other than punctuation?
This is another miss

I feel like I shouldn't, but I might as well to enlighten those of you who side with captain oblivious: The exchange between me and Thomas and Thomas and Yaya are just jokes. I wanted to start out the game by accusing Thomas of being protagonist right off the bat to poke fun at how he got lynched so early last time and the whole "Should we lynch thomas" poll on that one topic. Thomas was just accusing yaya for the hell of it and yaya accused him back without any actual reason, either to counter his false accusation, or as a little parody of the lack of evidence behind suspicion.

You'll also notice that there were no FoS' given in those exchanges, not that they actually mean anything anyways, unless they really do have some secret meaning that I don't know about.

Also jell just ninja'd me but yeah basically what he said

The first thing I'm going to do is take a look at the list of names a make a 100% blind prediction on who is mafia. That way you'll know I'm right is if Isa gets mad at me and thinks I must have peeked at the set permissions page.

- Nebnebben
- Jazz
- Yaya

---

The biggest mistake the town made last game was blindly following Isa's lead. Even though I hosted the last game, I've only actually played one game before (and I was mafia -- "Master Hand" actually), so whatever you do, don't blindly follow me either. Isa has played much more mafia than I have, and he was wrong -- I'll probably be wrong too. Form your own suspicions. State them. Back them up with reasoning. Vote.

I'm not actually suspicious of Thomas thus far, but I'd be willing to lynch him if we can't find a more suitable candidate by the end of the day. It's important we lynch as often as possible, as it's how we'll get information on who next to lynch. Our lynches also have a much higher chance of killing the mafia than their night kills do.

I don't try to get lynched. People just want mafia to win I presume. But Interguild people dislike me and will lynch me immediately and there's nothing I can do about it.

We do this all the time like in the chatbox but usually through PM's. Everyday Quirvy sends me an Interguild warning message with a dumb warning reason then I just reply with something stupid so it's basically similar to what is on the first page of this forum topic.

So guyguy, Quirvy was just trying to bug me with the exclamation point suspicion.

Soccerboy is sick and Bwmsu has been working on minecraft but he should post soon to avoid suspicion because he has been online. All he has done is post stuff in the chatbox like "MAFIA!  MAFIAMAFIAMAFIA!".

That is interesting. Do you have any motivation for these predictions are are they just a gut feeling?

This is my gut feeling for now:

-Guyguyxtreme
-CSD
-Nebnebben

So far, these appear most specific on the people they want lynched. Especially at this point in the game there isn't really any certainty on who to lynch, so it would be best to lynch just a random guy for the Crates, while it would be best to lynch specific people for the Protagonists.

We should also remember that there probably are Neutrals who want to get rid of us. There is more than just the Protagonists to worry about.

I didn't say I wanted anybody lynched, I didn't even FOS them. It was just a blind theory which has an extremely low chance of being right.

Translation: Lynch me, everybody!

and I can't really give a prediction when some people haven't posted yet, and some people's posts have been completely uninformative, but from what I've seen my prediction would be

Jazz
Silver
CSD

I have my reasons for each.

Also, Yaya is independent

The reason I haven't wanted to post is because I try to not draw any conclusions on the first day, as well as the fact that we all know how well the last Mafia game went with me.

I really should post more, but I'll probably say something I'll regret.  Heck, I'm probably going to get in trouble just for saying that.

And please keep it up, Thomas and Quirvy.  I enjoy the stuff said between you two.

EDIT: Oh, yeah, I forgot.  My mom needs the computer for work for the next few days, and I probably won't be active again until Monday or Tuesday.

If you think I'm independent because I made mock-accusations like Jell in the last game, or I'm protagonist because of some reason I can't figure out, I just tried to post earlier and more assertive posts this time because I felt like I was too passive last game, lol.

Now I'll take my stab at the  protagonists, 1st 2 are semi-educated guesses. And the last one's random.
Mafia: CSD, Bmwsu, Jellsprout.

And I shall stab once more and say DBX is independent.

Well, if I oppose you you'll think I'm mafia (or at least suspicious). If I say nothing, you'll think I'm independent. No win either way.

And I have an itch to kill Thomas... he's wayyyyy too annoying. But, if we must, let's kill someone who hasn't posted yet. Inactive members do no good to anyone.

The only one to not post yet has been Soccerboy, and he hasn't even been on since Day 1 has been posted, so maybe he has real life commitments? I just have a feeling that any mafia would've posted by now, since there'll be less protagonists then crates, they'll need to contribute more per person. Just a thought.

I'd like to know why as well, Quirvy. After all, if you don't give a reason people will just demand/ask for one anyway, plus it makes you more suspicious.

"That is interesting. Do you have any motivation for these predictions are are they just a gut feeling?"
I'm just trying to find out if I'm psychic or not. Odds are, not. It also has an added benefit of having people comment on it as well as post their own lists of names, which are all things we could come back and take a look at later.

Haha, I'm suspicious.

"So it would be best to lynch just a random guy for the Crates"
Actually I think we should lynch the most suspicious person. Lynching at random doesn't give us any information since when you go back and question people they'll just say "yeah it was random". You need to have reasons for your votes and suspicions so that the mafia ("protagonists" is a long word), in order to blend in with us, will have to give their reasons as well. One way we'll catch them is with their shoddy reasoning.

"While it would be best to lynch specific people for the Protagonists."
In what way do the mafia want to lynch specific people? There haven't been any role claims. If the mafia has a detective, they haven't had a chance to use it. The only thing I could figure is maybe they would want to try and convince the town the most helpful people are actually the most suspicious, but really... The best thing for the mafia, I think, is a no-lynch. If the town is out there actively lynching people, even if they hit somebody who is town, that gives them information to use to help find the mafia tomorrow, and, since they're actually actively lynching people, they might actually manage to pull of a mafia lynch. As long as the town isn't lynching people, the mafia will win. That's why I think we should lynch at pretty much every available opportunity.

"I have my reasons for each."
Thanks for sharing. You obviously didn't fully read my instructions. The next step was to state the reasons.

"I really should post more, but I'll probably say something I'll regret.  Heck, I'm probably going to get in trouble just for saying that."
Indeed. I find Bmwsu's reluctance to post to be scummy. I've been mafia and I know that posting is always scary. You're afraid you're going to screw it up somehow! Bad news for Bmwsu is, if you're mafia, being afraid to screw up is pretty close to actually screwing up. Vote: Bmwsu

So I was actually curious about support for lynching Thomas. Show of hands: If you think we should lynch him today if we can't find a better candidate: FOS: Thomas
