there's a minecraft comp, and since I don't have time OR knowledge about anything related to that game, somebody else should make something for teh comp!!

Ok, we can try to help you, but Shos doesn't "get" Minecraft and I can't really put things in perspective since I don't have it. So I'll ask you these questions; How long would it take to build a reasonably large statue of an Okapi? If you think you could, are there purple blocks? Do you have worldedit? If not, would it still be hard? And is there any way to make messages or text in projects, would we have to build it out of blocks, or are there signs?

I would prefer a building. Yes I have WorldEdit. You can have text and messages through signs.

mm. if we can have an okapi shaped building it's awsome, but if we can't, perhaps we can make a building shaped as the word okapi? and uh...well yaya said something about blocks, i'm not sure I understand, but yet again i don't know what minecraft is so...if we can make the word purple it's cool

if you need help in designing we can help, but we need to know what things are possible in minecraft. so far the only minecraft related stuff i did was view livio's favs vid; so uh, if you do anything, if you can also draw(or build?) a crown on top of it (or on top of the P in okapi) it could be cool... orsomething...

Any progress? I'm leaving for vacation Friday morning, so if you want any unneeded input, now is the time.

just sayin, after I saw bmw's vid, I thought, woah, someone can make an underground three-dimensional maze with this thing. if that isn't hard, we can make an okapi shaped maze or something. just throwing ideas to the air; if it's too much work then just what we said above is great

no lol, we're penaltied for this comp. guyguy did not submit anything, so we have no entry.. I thought about submitting a random, way-too-far-to-be-seen coordinate and claim to have done something there just so we're not penaltied, but then brohoster crashed so it won't even look legit =\

Yeah, you guys kind of got screwed over on this one. You guys tried harder than I initially thought you did, but you still could have given guyguy more to go on than "make a purple okapi" and "Maybe just the word purple"

I mean, look at what I gave Livio to go on. He didn't have to even think about what it was going to look like because I already pretty much made the entire design for him. Although he did have to deal with me waffling around wondering what to do to make the top look better... And he also did have to do the interior, too, which I have absolutely no knowledge of how to do or what to make there. I don't know how CSD's team made their monument yet, because I haven't read their board yet, but I'm about to do that as soon as I finish this post.

Anyways, we ended up not punishing you guys because it was sort of unfair, because by not entering anything you lost a point that you could have gotten had you, as I believe I put it, "made a really tall pole and called it a monument", and also because I knew that you were way far behind and there was no reason to take a point away from your team which was far behind everyone anyways.

Yeah, I kinda wish this thread never happened, lol. I know it's one of our most if not the most popular game on the Interguild right now, but I feel like we should had more people using Minecraft before doing an IO comp on it. I would've of liked it better if each team had at least 2 Minecrafters instead of one, in case this were to happen. Also; waffling is a verb?????
