you know, I guess I could even stop the opening of the HATPC upload page (by making it load in an invisible frame)... but then you wouldn't be able to tell if any errors happened. maybe if I make it a separate button?

That's one neat function I like it as it is right now, don't change anything for now.

I wish I could somehow know which account you were logged in as. then I might be able to let you know if the upload worked or not (as long as you didn't try to upload the same cave...)

I'm fine with it like this. I'd honestly rather see the cave on my account, just as confirmation that it worked.  I'd probably never click the second button, and even if I did, I'd still think it wasn't worth it. A possibility COULD be to like, parse the upload page (if that's actually possible, lol) and give us a quick popup message telling us if it worked or if there were any errors (and what they are), but that seems like a lot of work for what would otherwise be a simple feature.

another new update: There's a "More Topics" button on the recent posts and comments thing. And it turns yellow if there are anymore unread posts other than the ones that are already up there.

Maybe you could make that take you to a page with all the topics with new posts?

I thought about that, but that's kinda unnecessary. I mean you already have the forum index...

At the very least, it'd be a time saver, especially on dial-up.

I can just as easily click on the "Forums" button, and get to that page. It's only real purpose is to tell you if there are any unread posts, which you can find out by going onto the forum index.

I'm with CSD, here. It would be much more reasonable if it led you to a page with all of the recent posts that you haven't viewed.

I have many different accounts, so that poses a problem here. Sometimes, i dont know what account i had logged in neopets, so.... when i clicked on the button.

  yeah too bad we don't have some way of knowing which account you're logged into on neopets. otherwise that could help too.

and about the More Topics button, I've noticed that a lot of people aren't posting much in the topics that get pushed off, so hopefully this will fix that to some extent

It's still completely useless. All it does is redirect you to the forum index.

No. I always check if the entire box is yellow. I might not post in the boards, but I still read them.

To me, all it does is take away a slot that could be used to show an actual topic.

If you're gonna have it there, it should open up to a page that shows you all of the posts that are unread.
