Minecraft Comp #2: Interguild Theme
This comp has already ended and has been judged.
Start Date: Sunday, Oct 9, 2011
End Date: Sunday, Nov 6, 2011
Game: Only Minecraft content is allowed

Competition Rules:
Finally a new comp! This one is brought to you by Bmw:

'Bmwsu' said:
"O! hey, can you see, in the internet's great might,
The Interguild's awesomeness, banner's are a'streamin',
Whose database and video archive shows in the night,
In the chat box, we cheered, banners flying with high esteem?
And KarmaBot's nuke cloud, always without a care,
Gave us hope, that one day, we'd be in the air!
O!, stay down and you won't go down to the grave,
Look in awe, you dumb fool, upon our epic caves."

Proudly display the colors of the Interguild in the comp!  Make something related to the Interguild, whether it be Hannah, the "logo", D52, etc.  Be as original as you can!

1) No copying ideas from other stuff already built on the server.
2) Remember to be creative, yet still keep it looking nice, and pay attention to details.  Sloppiness will result on
an unsatisfactory mark on your official building record.

Competition ends on November 6th.
This comp is going to run for a month, mainly because of how busy everyone's been lately. Also, unlike the last comp, collabs are allowed.

I might make a video of all the entries when it's done, so if you don't have Minecraft, feel free to sign up as a judge.

Let's start filling up the new server with awesome projects!

Is anyone making anything for this comp? I'm thinking of building Quirvy's Great Lakes City if I find the time for it.

Well, now I have WE, I'm probably going to do a giant version of me (my MC skin), sitting at a desk on the Interguild. But I'm not sure because that would be very hard to make.

that sounds pretty cool actually. Especially if you get the monitor to look like interguild.org

I was planing on using the random chat page. And just use avatars that are easy to make on MC. Actually, yours would be a very good one to do.

I suggest making the monitor first, and then make your statue to scale. Actually, it would be pretty awesome already if it was just the monitor by itself.

I haven't used a monitor before. How would I make it?

Ohhh... ok because that was my plan and then being me I got confused. It would be good to make that first. But it would have to be floating.

I think I'll do it like this...

1 Chair
2 Me
3 desk
4 bottom of computer
5 monitor
6 build rest of computer around screen
7 build keypad

Although I would have to be very big. Maybe 9 blocks = 1 pixel.

Maybe too big...
even one block to one pixel would be huge. Do you realise how many pixels are on a page?

Well, if think about the text is going to be pretty darn small compared to me. I could reduce it to four blocks for every pixel. But for this thing ti work so the text looks small I need to be pretty big.

Since you have World Edit, you could build the monitor first and then move it later.

I'd probably mess it up some how, but I'll look at moving stuff in the WE guide.

Why don't you do one block for one pixel? Just that, infact, will be thousands of blocks across...

Shavey it's as simple as copy or cut, and paste. The commands are in SK's wiki, first result for googling worldedit commands

cut and pasting is more complicated than you think though. It all depends on your position and it doesn't rotate like you'd expect.

Shavey, 4 blocks a pixel will mean that you won't have enough room.  That is way to big, trust me.

I ment every pixel on my skin. I will have 9 blocks for every pixel on me. The pixels on skins are big

Lol, at first I did think you meant the computer screen...

Due to hight regulations (64 blocks up) that would still be too big.

Yes, but if he uses the super pick axe then he can have around 200 blocks, but then it would look like a Sparata hole.
