This might come as a surprise to some of you. In particular we haven't even asked mymop what he thought about being staff, and atvelonis was campaigning for krotomo and soccerboy to be made staff instead. What the staff needs more than seniority is activity. Until I proposed these changes, I hadn't heard a peep out of anyone on the staff forum in way too long. Meanwhile, mymop and atvelonis were the ones proposing we do stuff like start competitions, and complaining about things like people not being able to make new accounts. Mymop, Atvelonis and soccerboy may be younger than the staff as you know them, but that's fine; we were pretty young ourselves when we started out as staff members. Additionally there's no pressure; our staff hasn't really gotten anything done in a really long time. Mymop, atvelonis and soccerboy are the three members I feel like I see the most when I log onto the site or go onto the InterServer, so they seem like the best solution for a severely inactive staff.
Speaking of the severely inactive staff, you may wonder what the distinction between being retired and demoted is. Most of the staff is being gracefully retired. What this means is that they'll have their staff powers officially removed. However, they will maintain access to the staff forum, and if they so choose, they can unretire and become a staff member again. We're mostly doing this just because our staff has become ridiculously bloated; we don't need as many staff members as we had, especially while adding another three. But at the same time, if CSD suddenly comes back to life and wants to be a contributing staff member again, I don't want to stop that. But if they're not going to come online or contribute to staff discussions, they shouldn't be holding the title of staff member.
Bmwsu is just being demoted because I don't think he was a staff member long enough (while active) to deserve the distinction, and I'm still bitter about the way he, as an admin, just decided to disappear all of a sudden. That's not cool, man.
I'm not really sure how this is going to go, and I do feel a little bad for leaving some of our new staff in the dark, but I am interested to see how this will turn out, because it's the first big change we've made in a while.

The funny thing about this is that I'm like 99% sure the clique suggested basically this exact thing and was met with "You guys are dumb". Granted, that's probably because we didn't go about it in any sort of way that deserved to be taken seriously, but yaknow | |

I'm confident that Darvince is ready to be deemed officially unbanned. IDK how Jorster got unbanned, but I don't really care so long as he doesn't step out of line. I don't think Thomas is ready to be unbanned but if he really wants to he'll probably unban himself using some exploit. And I mean, he was pretty firm in his claim that he would never ever be coming back to the interguild, so unless he's planning on adding to the list of users that fake left, I don't think he would want to come back anyways.  spooky secret | |

wat Not really sure what to say. Thanks, I guess? I was not expecting that. But I guess you do have a point Quirvy, general activity is important as well as seniority. I have been neglecting Interserver lately due to crappy internet (great computer... awful connection) and school to an extent. At this point though, I've basically fallen into rhythm with assignments and other responsibilities once more so I'm confident I'll be able to remain fairly active from now on.
