Episode 2 Part 1 - Minecraft Server Tour - Minecraft Video
Welcome to the Interguild's Video Archive! This is a database of all of the videos that our members have made. While we do not provide a way for you to directly upload videos onto our site, we let users upload them to their own accounts on video sites such as Youtube or Google Video. We then embed the videos onto here so that you can find them all in one place.
This left me disappointed because almost 20% of the video was complaining, which really isn't something I'd like to see you bring up in this kind of video - I'd be much happier if you did so on the forums instead. Following that, you only really looked at Sunrise Central (which I'll admit it cool) and the dome/four spheres King built. I thought you'd visit the comp entries at least...
sorry I forgot to point out that this is just the first 12 minutes of a 50-minute recording. There are more episodes coming!
So what did you guys think of putting music to go along with the video? I put it in for two reasons:
1) to liven it up, especially since I don't speak with very much charisma
2) there some moments when what I was saying sounded more like mumbling so I decided to mute those sections, but that left an uncomfortable silence.
In this recording I covered the rest of Sunrise Bay, Krotomo's Park Trails, Testing (someone complained that I hadn't shown much of it), Lightown, D52 bridge, and I stopped filming at Ardul y Ddinas thinking that I can record the rest some other day. In the next recording I plan to finish the NER, then I'll take the rail from there to Sumsert, maybe visit Camelot, Bmw's Secret Town, and maybe the future site of Darktown. Then I could warp to spawn (b/c no one would want to watch that boring journey), go North to Sprout Tower, then I could go South to San Notch to show off the Blimp and the Train Station. Then I'll go to Yug City, look at all the new buildings there, and finish with the YugCoaster.
I have thought of a way you could include a lot more into a reasonably shorter video.
Whenever you are travelling to a place and the journey there is not significant, just fast forward it using some sort of movie edit. That means you can still talk over a faster journey and talk about other subjects. Therefore, cramming a lot more into one video...
I was originally planning to make this video have as much content as possible in the shortest amount of time. I wasn't going to bother recording my voice, since that slows down the pace of the trip, but the public demanded against it. I was also planning to speed up the video in various parts, but because you're listening to my voice, it would be weird to listen to it in fast-forward mode. I figured I could at least silent a few parts and speed up the in-between stuff, but I found that hard to do since I found myself talking about relatively important stuff during that in-between time, so I couldn't skip that. And so the moments when I could safely fast-forward turned out to be relatively few, so fast-forwarding would've felt out of place and sudden.
How about I experiment with cutting my voice out from the next episode?
Btw, maybe I should rename this to Episode 2 - Part 1? Rather than just going Episode 2, 3, 4, ...
