well, if you need any help with these, message me I had my degree (almostttt finished lol, 5 more courses to go ) double-major, as in, both the physics and the maths parts of my degree are major - the degree is much bigger than the regular B.A(or B.Sc, never got the difference lol). I'm going through some extra tests in the next two weeks too, so this may be post-worthy as well.
Good luck!

My original plan was also to do a double major in physics/math. But they didn't offer it until a year after I started. So now I'll do this instead.
And thanks for the offer, but I don't think I'll be needing the help. The only course that appears difficult is Linear Algebra 2, of which I have already learned half during the Linear Algebra course of my physics major.

Ona, that's really cool. Have you ever considered a career in making.... Aeon music??
'Quirvy' said: And I'm majoring in Computer Science right now. Hey, same here. For a lot of people the "intro to programming" classes are always the toughest because you either get it or you don't. But once you get past that, it's a very exciting field.
My University accepted me with a scholarship that basically forces me to take 30 units worth of courses per year. This means that I have plenty of room for courses outside my major. I was planning to do a minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering, but now I'm thinking of dropping it because it really is a ton of work. I kinda wish I could keep the minor, though, because I really am interested in that stuff, but considering that I will most likely end up working as either a programmer or game designer (still undecided which field interests me more-- they're both awesome), it's just too impractical to put the work into learning engineering.
Although I am pursuing a Spanish minor since I only need like 3 classes for that, and I might or might not pick up a Math minor since it's very useful in programming. But yeah, I really am just trying to figure out how to make the most of this 30 units per year thing.
Jell is right about not having to go to college. Whenever I see someone skipping classes or not caring about their courses, it just makes me wonder why their wasting so much money to be here if they're not gonna take advantage of it and learn the most they can. | | shos |

It's not that they don't take advantage of the opportunity given to them. I mean, not necessarily; some people do it just once in a while, since they have certain problems etc.. and some people are simply really that good, that they don't need it =\ I have a friend, who is really a genius in the old fashion wording; and one of the best. he's the one that *always* kicks my ass in all the math comps etc, he even got a gold medal for Israel in this year's IMO. anyways, we were in a Topology class this semester, and this course is a big, big major course for most of the people. for me it was a piece of cake, but even with that there were parts I needed the help. in his case, he's always played NBA in the laptop. and one time he made some noise, and the lecturer told him to either be more silent, or leave the class. and the guy simply got up, and left. we were all shocked, seriously, that's some nerve.. but then again, that guy could seriously lecture to us =\ and he's 18 years old too =\
and jell, Linear algebra 2 was (until 3 days ago) the highest grade I had XD there really are much worse courses O_o

Maybe I'm just inherently cheap with my money. I like to suck out the most value I can from all my purchases (even if paying for college came out of my parents' money), and while there are some classes that I could probably breeze through really easily, I still attend them because I'm scared I'm gonna miss something interesting or important. Maybe sometimes it would be smart to skip class and use that time towards something more productive, but sometimes people like that guy you were just talking about just tick me off because he seems to have this really ungrateful attitude. | | shos |

yes, he is really ungrateful, but still he has the best average grade on the whole frekin university, and that's while also being in scouts, high school, and loads of other stuff too. he sweeped through the first two years of university with a double major, and an average of..100 =\ not even one 99. I envy his brains so bad I seriously hate him :@
I remember one test we had, where the lecturer gave us some huge freakin mechanics problem, something with a rotating block which has another rotating block rotating around itself AND around the rotating axis of the other block or something.. anyways, the average was like 50, even I got something like 65~, and the dude got out with a perfect score. on the second examination for that test, it was a hell lot easier test, and I got 93. I'm proud of that, but damn, the guy would score like 200 in this one O_o
edit: let's move this discussion elsewhere? someone, open a topic..

moral of the story: it doesn't matter how smart or skilled you are; people won't like you if you're a jerk.
I dunno, I don't really have much more to say about this, so I think this tangent conversation is pretty much finished. | | jazz |

I think jazz has done this before, leaving the internet for some amount of time for no reason other than to leave the internet.

I think if I tried leaving the internet temporarily for no apparent reason, I'd:
A.) Breakdown and lurk online anyways
B.) Take up obscure hobbies like Digimon and Jai Alai then become relatively successful at them
C.) Succeed in life (Hang with friends more, get job, girlfriend, and even more swag) only to miss my old ways
D.) Become disillusioned and turn to a life of crime (probably stealing hubcabs)
Despite the list only one of these options would most likely happen, a rather sad amount of my life revolves around the internet, so that option is B. Fine, you got me. It's A.
COMING SOON: A giant meteor. Please.

And Cedric, I'm not going to the Beaconsfield area. (almost wrote baconsfield). | | |
