I'ma go with triangles, since the surface of all 3D objects can be defined as a set of triangles on a computer.

Sticky notes, obviously.  What can't be done with sticky notes?

Because I don't plan on starting polls at 2 in the morning, and this one seems to be pretty much decided, I'll get it over with now rather than later.

POLL: Inspiration for start of next story should be what?

	 Bingo 2 votes - 20%
	 French fries 0 votes - 0%
	 Sticky notes 2 votes - 20%
	 Triangles 5 votes - 50%
	 Privacy 1 votes - 10%

Your name is Brett. You are a triangle living in a square's world. You grow tired of the relentless oppression you receive from your four-sided brethren, but what can a simple triangle like yourself do? Not much, unfortunately.

Speaking of which, what will you do?

a. Eat lunch
b. Go to school
c. Protest for equal rights
d. Change form

Protest.  No longer should I be forced to deal with this trinary discrimination.

Cut your square brethren in half, so there will be more triangles.

Pages 3/4 of this thread make for interesting reading, especially the claims that nobody could ever hit Dando because 'she' is a girl.

This was a little late because we had a tie for a while, and I lack inspiration.

POLL: What will you do?

	 Eat lunch 6 votes - 40%
	 Go to school 0 votes - 0%
Protest for equal rights	5 votes - 33%
	 Change form 4 votes - 27%

You consider going to school, but going to school is for squares, and you are a triangle. With nothing better to do, you decide to eat lunch. You open the fridge, but to your dismay it is filled entirely with line segments. You're growing tired of line segments, but there's not much else to eat in this world.

You consume a hearty helping of line segments. Upon finishing your meal, you begin to get a bit self conscious, as you fear that you're becoming too obtuse. What will you do about this dilemma?

a. Hunger strike
b. Eat your sorrows away
c. Exercise
d. Change form

I didn't continue with this story because there was a distinct lack of interest in it; there were under 10 votes and no comments on the poll. Not really sure where I'd have gone with this anyways. I feel like the highlight of this would be doing jokes about how things are for "squares" and you are a triangle.

Tournament polls are kinda cool, but the problem is that they're only interesting for the first round when people first discuss the things in the tournament.

Like back when we did the staff member tournament, things might go like this for someone

First round:

Livio vs Dando: "I think dando will win because Livio can't hit a girl" so he says so
shos vs Jebby: "I think that shos will win because he's really strong" so he says so

Second round
shos vs Dando: "I think dando will win because shos can't hit a girl", but he doesn't say so because he already basically said that in the first round.

Polls are polls, but I'd also like to create some activity in terms of discussion about which option is better, and when we've already discussed the options before (although separately), there isn't much to say. Perhaps what we need is a tournament between members, where the members competing have to actually do something and the voting is based on what they did, so that there'd be new things to discuss each round. But I'm not totally sure what we would do though (I guess stuff like the one post round), and we'd also need to have enough participants.

So anyone want to sign up to be part of this potential tournament?

Why not trim out the virtually unknown members, like affliction, TTP, and binary guy?

We can't just be like "Everyone is participating!" because a lot of them might never even come online, and some people when prompted would be like "No, I don't want to participate."

Unless you were just suggesting a plain tournament where no one has to do anything, but what fun would that be?

Yeah, Quirvy is right. Some of the people you listed have just registered here to be online once, and you probably won't see them here anymore. Usually the biggest quantity of members being online at the same time is 5, it happens sometimes and I don't remember seeing more. And like, 90% of the times I get on, it looks like that:

that might be because of your timezone..

these are all the people who have been online this WEEK, so I figured they're at least partially active...

Okay, I changed my mind, 6 users are currently online at one time.

'shos' said:

I don't know, I often get on at night when it's the weekend and sometimes it happens that even when it's 3 am at me there are no users active. And there are some users with similar/the same timezone (e.g. Isa) and that's not too problematic. </offtop>

I'll be in too I guess. :p
